*In another room*
Jennifer and Wildcat sat on a bed, laptops open in front of them. They were engrossed in the video playing on the screen.
"I told you she's a perfect target," Jennifer said, a sly smile spreading across her face. Naive, vulnerable, and easy to manipulate. "She won't remember a thing." Wildcat nodded, eyes fixed on the video, lost in thought.
"Nice work, Jennie," Wildcat said, voice low and impressed. "You've set this up perfectly." Jennifer's smile grew, satisfied with herself.
"The scene will be cleared by tomorrow, first thing," Jennifer added, confidence radiating from her voice.
Jennifer zoomed in on the video and increased the volume, revealing intimate details. Wildcat raised an eyebrow. "You didn't mention she was a virgin, Jennie."
Jennifer's tone dripped with sarcasm. "Oh, poor thing. "She chose this, didn't she?" Both women burst into laughter, their amusement tinged with cruelty.
The video continued to play, capturing the unsettling scene. "Is Xavier so good in bed or is it the drug working?" Wildcat asked with a mischievous face, making Jennie laugh.
" Don't tell me you have a thing for him", Jennie said. " Maybe, he's a nice catch. "
Jennie nodded. " I prefer Sylvester, he's more of my type, mature and sophisticated. " Wildcat looked at Jennie in admiration. " Girl, you've got taste, that's a very bold move. I would never "
" Seriously, Sylvester is everything girl, the way he walks, his business, that man is running his enterprise and his father's he's a perfect example of a business guru. He might be the next Bill Gates. "Who knows?" She shrugged.
Whilst she kept blabbing about her aspirations towards her one-sided undying love for another prominent celebrity, she failed to notice when Wildcat prepped something into the bottle of drink she opened.
Wildcat poured wine into two glasses.
" Here, cheers to the beginning of our success ", Wildcat said, handing over a glass of drink to Jennie, who downed hers in one gulp, oblivious to Wildcat's untouched drink.
Without warning, Jennie's eyelids drooped, she swirled, and she slumped into unconsciousness.
Wildcat's expression twisted into a menacing smile. She seized a pillow and pressed it firmly over Jennie's nose and mouth. She was so stern and precise like she'd done this several times. Jennie's body writhed in silent struggle, her limbs flailing wildly.
Moments later, she went limp. Wildcat released the pillow, admiring her handiwork.
"One task down," she whispered, satisfaction dripping from her voice.
She pulled out her phone to capture evidence of Jennie's lifeless form.
"This will show our boss I'm committed to ruining Xavier's life."
The darkness in Wildcat's eyes gleamed with malevolence.
Wildcat's motives for killing Jennie were ruthless and practical. With her funds dwindling, she couldn't afford to pay both Jennie and Becca. The project's expenses had depleted her boss's initial investment, leaving her with a stark choice.
Jennie, once a valuable asset, became an expendable liability.
Wildcat's loyalty to her boss superseded any allegiance to Jennie. She didn't question why her boss wanted Xavier destroyed; it was enough that her boss did.
"If my boss hates Xavier, I hate him too," she thought, justifying her actions.
The darkness within Wildcat deepened, driven by loyalty and self-preservation.
This was actually part of the plan, but Becca was supposed to be the one dead.
However, Wild Cat knew just how to match up the scene to make it look similar and surreal.
Wildcat smirked, gathering her belongings before exiting the hotel. She had just committed murder and successfully framed Xavier Chen.
Confident in her accomplishment, Wildcat anticipated a substantial reward from her boss.
She made her way to the security head's office, where he handed over the incriminating video footage.
"This room had CCTV," he explained, "but don't worry, I've taken care of the evidence."
Wildcat's smile widened as she accepted the video.
"A job well done," she thought, eager to impress her boss.
"Thanks," she said, kissing the security head before departing.
With the video in hand as proof, Wildcat felt untouchable. She walked out of the hotel a free murderer.
Only God knows what would happen if they found out who was behind all these things.
Would Wildcat really escape with no traces?
**Early the next morning**
Wildcat stepped out of a hotel , the cool early morning air enveloping her as she pulled out her phone. She dialed a number, waiting for her boss to answer.
"Wildcat, report," a low, husky voice said on the other end.
"It's done," Wildcat said, a hint of satisfaction creeping into her voice. "But there's been a change of plans."
There was a pause at the other end, making Wildcat look at her phone screen to be sure the person on the other line was still active.
"What kind of change?" her boss asked, a hint of curiosity in her tone.
Wildcat took a deep breath. "I had to eliminate Jennifer. She was becoming a liability."
Her boss's tone turned icy. "And what about Becca? Was she compromised?"
Wildcat hesitated, unsure of how her boss would react. "Actually, it's the other way around. Becca's still alive. Jennifer...took her place."
There was a long pause at the other end. Wildcat could almost hear her boss's mind racing.
"Why?" her boss asked finally, her tone measured.
Wildcat shrugged, even though her boss couldn't see her. "I don't know. It just happened. But I adapted. The scene's been set, and Xavier's been framed. It's perfect."
Her boss's tone turned thoughtful. "I see. Well, in that case...proceed as planned. But Wildcat?"
"Yes, boss?" Wildcat asked, a hint of wariness creeping into her voice.
"Don't think for a second that you're off the hook. I want to know why Jennifer had to die. And I want to know why Becca's still alive."
Wildcat's eyes narrowed. She knew that tone. Her boss was not happy.
"She's still with Xavier," Wildcat said, her voice even. " I'll take care of it."
Her boss's tone turned icy once more. "See that you do."
The line went dead, and Wildcat was left standing alone, wondering what she had just gotten herself into.
