Yun Lintian stepped into the passage, followed closely by Erlang Shen. As they ventured deeper, they could hear a faint sound echoing from the depths—a rhythmic hum that seemed to vibrate through the very walls of the passage.
"What is that sound?" Qingqing asked cutely.
"It sounds like… energy," Yun Lintian said slowly, "a vast and ancient energy source."
They continued to follow the passage, the humming sound growing louder with each step. The air grew colder, and a faint mist began to form around their feet. Finally, they emerged into a vast open space, its sheer size dwarfing the secret chamber they had just left.
In the center of the chamber stood a multitude of towering pillars, each reaching towards the high ceiling, their surfaces covered in intricate carvings.
