Chapter 29 - You were supposed to be

I was with a friend enjoying Brazilian barbeque meats when Weird showed up suddenly and he pinned me to the wall. He had his face pressed against my cheek. "You were supposed to be my wife. Why did you marry the underwear model?" I didn't have time to answer when Adam came and asked him to leave. He looked at his army mentor and walked away sulking. Adam turned to me, "Did he hurt you?" I shook my head, "He just took me by surprise. Chris is not an underwear model, he is working to be a Supreme Court judge." This made Adam chuckle, "He has always been possessive. I wouldn't worry about that. He will get over it." Diana called from her sleepover with Angel and his sister, "Mommy, new Daddy says we are going to the Maldives this week instead of next month. Are we going just the three of us?" I smiled, "Of course princess. We are going on mommy's honeymoon. Mommy promised her princess a time of her life." This cheered her up a great deal. I can feel her blissful joy from the phone.

We had the most colorful wedding ever. Ten of his ex-girlfriends screamed, "We object" As a pun, a few of my cousins screamed their objection. This made the crowd burst out laughing. We lost the ring and had to spend almost an hour looking for it. I had to use the lady's room then he had to use the men's room. His mom wasn't feeling well so we had to hold off for ten more minutes. One of his annoying cousins burst out in the middle of the ceremony in a Harley-Davidson.

My father-in-law was upset with his nephews, "You were supposed to keep an eye on Charlie and make sure he doesn't pull one of his stunts." This argument went on till his wife told him to stop making a scene.

The wedding party had even more drama than words can describe but here goes. One of the groomsmen got into a fight with one of the bridesmaids, she threw a vase at him and sent him to the ER. My father-in-law spends half the speech not congratulating us but yelling at Charlie for his need to be center stage. The next batch of his ex-girlfriends showed up to make a spectacle. Two of them claimed to be pregnant. Four of them brought kids and introduced them as Chris's. I sat down laughing and Chris laughed with me. This motivated them to continue. I asked if an immediate DNA test could be done in front of them to prove my husband's innocence. This deflated them as they knew the extent of my influence. The FBI could do DNA in front of them instantly and their claim will be proven bogus so they apologized and walked away. The crazy uncle had to show up and start talking about government conspiracies and was dragged away from the mike. His friends each gave their speech about how lucky he was that I married him when they have been proposing to me for the past eight years but I had ignored them as a rule. Someone pulled the fire alarm and the entire place was flooded by the time they turned it off. The tires were slashed and the windows were smashed. I looked around and saw Weird was across the street watching the entire debacle. He was neither happy nor was he sad. I waved at Adam and he brought me my Audi R8 Coupe.

My family cheered as I drove the three of us to the private jet waiting to take us to the dreamy Maldives. Diana was so excited that she almost tripped in her haste to get on board. I picked her and he picked us both up and carried us both to the plane. I was amazed at his strength and he scoffed, "You are light as a feather. So is Little Princess too. I can carry you both for the entire trip without breaking my back." We talked eagerly as we tried to figure out what we will do for the next three weeks till the rest of my family arrive.
