I was in the FBI car being driven to the location for inquiry when we got surrounded by US Army. They pointed their rifles and pistols at the car and ordered that I be removed immediately or they were ordered by the President to use live rounds. I laughed as the woman with Afro hair looked at me scared out of her wits. Angie undid my cuffs and the other guy opened the door. I was allowed to walk towards the helicopter waiting to take me to the Pentagon where the Secretary of Defense was waiting to brief me on the Presidential tour I will be joining in to help the secret services with the protection of POTUS.
He shook my hand and apologized for the stupidity of the Feds and promised the president will give them a piece of his mind. I was a classified asset of the government and not for the use of the FBI. It was a non-negotiable clause I wrote in the agreement with the White House and the Pentagon. They happily consented to my wishes in exchange for everything that I do for the sake of the country.
I walked out of the four-hour briefing and drove to the VA hospital. I sat down to listen to the horrors and atrocities that these men and women had to face. The speaker saw me and asked me if I wanted to share anything with the group. I shook my head and she asked the people to give me a round of applause to encourage me to say a few words. A lovely lady walking by heard the applause walked in and explained who I was. This earned a standing ovation from the crowd, some even saluted. I walked up the podium and told them my tragic story.
"When I was Nine my three older brothers risked their lives and saved two hundred men and women from a sunken submarine. It turns out my power-hungry grandfather was behind this to undermine someone. My brothers decided not to allow any more funerals for the sake of his thirst for power. So for their defiance, he barged into our house and he murdered them slowly and painfully. We were tied up and forced to watch them perish. Then the only big brother left alive was diagnosed with cancer. He used to cough up blood and I watch helplessly as he was dragged in and out of the hospital. The power-hungry monster came towards us again demanding that my father divorce my mother and marry someone politician's daughter. He refused to comply so both my parents were murdered brutally without a second thought. My younger siblings and I tried to stop the bleeding but in the end, had to watch them bleed out. They were killed the day before I turned ten, I lost what was most precious to me. I had to throw away my childhood and become an adult. I looked after my eight younger siblings, nine younger cousins, an aunt battling depression, and a grandmother who was in and out of the hospital. I had to look after the family business and play nurse for my older brother who used to bring me here. He used to tell me that his pain felt like nothing when he would listen to the atrocities you guys had to face. He understood that for a time there are people who will happily lend you their ear and shoulder nodding their head but after some time it just gets old so people don't want to hear that you are in pain. The only thing they want you to do is to shut up about it. They want you to get over it." This earned nods from the crowd and they were sympathetic. I continued, "He used to have an episode where he would relive the moment where our brothers expired and as a result, he would stay in bed. Whenever GG tells him that it is bright outside and he should get out of bed. He would say 'What do you want me to do? Photosynthesis?'" This made the people in the room laugh. I continued, "I understand how that feels but I never met anyone I can talk to. Everyone assumes because I am rich, money makes up for the loss. It doesn't make a difference. Pain is pain no matter who experienced it. And if they don't understand what is going then all they are going to say get over it. If they saw half the tragedies you guys faced they would lock themselves in their bedroom. Thanks for listening." This earned a standing ovation and a round of applause. I wiped my face and walked to use the bathroom. Angie was there and she looked hurt. I wasn't in the mood to talk to her and she can tell that if I talked my mouth will be a machine gun so she stepped aside without a word. Weird on the other hand stepped forward I just brushed past him to wash my face.
