Ning stood atop many of the army soldiers, watching the vast countryside of the republic fly past them. The undead marched through open grasslands and fields as they hurried their way to the capital.
From where they were, Matthew came to the conclusion that it would take them just over a day to reach the capital. Considering how long it had been since the other side's army had left, they would still be late, but hopefully not by very much.
Along the way, from time to time, many of the soldiers split off to report the republic's loss to those that hadn't heard about it yet. As they moved further in, there were fewer and fewer who weren't aware.
After some time, they didn't bother. By that time, however, nearly two hundred different soldiers had joined their group. Although that wasn't a large addition to the army, some of those soldiers had special abilities, making them quite useful.
