Without a word, he reached for the porcelain teapot, poured a glass of cool lotus-infused water from a nearby crystal pitcher, and slid it across the table.
"Too hot."
It wasn't a question.
Yan Shu cleared her throat as though nothing had happened.
"I know."
"I can see that."
His tone remained perfectly serious, which somehow made it even more embarrassing.
