On the way back to Crown's Oasis I remembered my time in Ravencroft Academy. Irene and Sonja was so excited to have an opportunity to go see their grandma. But on the way there they were apprehended by Molly. The memory alone made me wince in pain. Daisy got a call from a private number. Molly threatened to skin the girls if I didn't show up. I used echolocation to find them and saw that they were in a completely different location. They were gagged and tied to a chair. The place was booby trapped. I became invisible and quietly snuck them out. When they were out I called the police. Molly heard the sirens and bolted. She called Daisy to say that Sonja is finished. Sonja yanked the phone and said a few words in Ukrainian and she hung up. I kept my lips shut to stop myself from laughing. The others asked me what she said but I pretended to be deaf.
I walked to the main corridor and saw a few sailors walk quietly and serenely to the locker room. So I pulled the fire alarm. This caused every resident to storm out. The humans froze for a moment before they split into two groups. The first group walked out to the nearest exit the second group that tried to open the nearest door but realized it was locked. Ute approached these men and demanded that they explain why they are here. They gave her a piece of paper that I read out loud. It read, "The bearer of this document is allowed to roam around in the green zone where human civilians are. But is liable for arrest if they enter the red zone which is the residents of the vampires and werewolves." I ordered their arrest and they demanded to know why and I showed them the part that they had overlooked. Their face fell but I didn't care. I ordered that they be sent to the basement till the police arrive. They made a mistake of mentioning that they were here temporarily. They are supposed to be show up to their respective ships in a few hours. They can make something up and get out of the police headquarters. I made a suggestion that the vampires should refrain from calling the police. I suggested that they should wait till the time is up and then call the military to inform them of the break in and entering. This should is the only way to discipline them. This incident didn't amused everyone so they did I asked them to do.
I came downstairs to hear a heated discussion. The captain of the ship was not amused that these idiots had the nerve to do it. The council yelled at him profusely as his men and women were brought forth. The man denied that they would do that till he saw them with his own eyes. He was embarrassed and livid at the exact same time. He kept his mouth shut till he was dismissed. The second they had reached their vehicles he turned at them and yelled at them. He made it clear that they are not allowed to leave the ship till they leave for their next port. One of them joked that since they were going to be vampires and werewolves they felt it was best if they see how the place looked like. That was when a man in a suit made it clear that no one in the military or have a family member in the military or been in boot camp is allowed to join either side. The same goes for those in the spy industry. The captain asked them if this was a joke and the lawyer explained that it was done when the vampires and werewolves made a hybrid vampire called Sasha their queen. Her half brother was military and his friends were in the spy industry. They killed her mother and other without remorse so for that reason they have made it an absolute law to never allow them to join. Plus the nocturnals have passed a law that forbids them from turning humans into their kind for a hundred years. The only acception to the rule would be the consort of Sasha. This infuriated the captain enough to yell at the sailors ordering them that till their service on the ship is done they are not allowed to leave it. They hopped on the vehicle expressing their displeasure of this breaking new. I heard one person slam the door really hard and I chuckled happily.
I looked around to see if the coast was clear and hopped to the kitchen as I saw the werewolves were watching me with amusement. I opened the fridge and started to cook macaroni and cheese. This amused them as I used three different types of cheese and crispy breadcrumbs. I happily ate it as Batou sat down to watch. He said I looked like the day I accused the washing machine of not doing it's job. The others leaned forward to hear what he had to say. I was yelling at it because it hadn't ironed the clothes so mom had to take out the iron and press out the wrinkles. This made everyone burst out laughing. My face turned red as they happily stared at me with amusement. He continued unfazed about how he had walked into the kitchen to see mom had sat next to me and nod her head as a three year old me yelled at it in a cute chipmunk voice looking adorable yet frustrated. I used the word stupid repeatedly like it was a weapon of mass destruction. I even stroke mom on her arm to signify how much I loved her having a moment with me but it was denied because of the stupid washing machine. Mom played along and nod her to agree with me. I finally had enough so I started to kick it a few times for good measure. Mom happily giggled since my kicks wouldn't do it any damage. After a minute I threatened to arrest it. That was when Batou had enough and carried me out of there. I blew a raspberry as he escorted me to the living room where I sat to watch cartoons. I was so bored that I went to the attic and watched the stars. I asked him to stop talking about those days people will think that I am weird. One of the werewolves made it clear that they don't think that I am weird at all. To be fair they think that I am only human here. The others act like they are royalty. I at least treat the werewolves like a people. They consider me good natured and sweet. I blushed as I thanked them.
Batou asked what the occasion rose for me to cook since I am forbidden to enter the kitchen. I reminded him that today was my birthday. I was planning to go to the pet store and get a tortoise. He wanted to know the logic behind my desire to have a tortoise. I reminded him that I love rabbits but my half brother's friend Edgar ate it. I can't keep a goldfish alive for more than a few hours. The last time I went to a pet store Batou came with me and he said that his ears ache because of the shouting parrots. He considers me a cat person but I reminded him that I used to help him feed stray dogs. He joked that maybe I should have one of them as a pet to which the vampires protested. They didn't like the idea of their queen having strays for pets. They expressed their disgust as they walked off to whatever they had in mind. I made a face as I tried to figure out what to get for my birthday.
