We were told that according to our skill set we will be separated so we decided that we will not be dark knights. Roland was happy to hear that since he had other plans. Soren wanted to exchange his place in Moonstone with the place in Eventide. I asked if I could get his place in Moonstone. He said he doesn't need it anymore so he gave me the mansion and took Abe's old place for himself. I said that if he wants to Luna he can stay in my old place. Soren thanked me and said he will consider my offer.
We moved to Eventide and the others rolled up their sleeves to find places to hangout with that won't get them arrested. One of the places was a club where people congregate with Nocturnals. People call it groupie corner. I call it peacekeeping. So anyway we got there and saw that the people were friendly and seem wonderful. There were those that asked to dance while the others wanted something more intimate. Oleg happily danced with a woman in her thirties. She had blonde hair, curves and she was as tall as him. I was feeling jealous but decided to take the high road. I got to the stage and started dancing on my own. A few men surrounded me and Oleg kindly pushed them aside and grabbed on to my waist. He pressed his nose against my neck and let out growl. It felt possessive and I felt my knees buckle and he held onto me tight. After the dance we played pool and air hockey. Sometimes I win sometimes he wins. The blondie came for second turn at dancing but he brushed her off.
After midnight he took me home. Zack and Becky came with roses. Oleg was growling at the flowers. I reminded him these roses are harmless beings. So he shouldn't be so aggressive. He grinned, "What would you do if I gave you flowers?" I blushed, "I would preserve them between wax papers and books." Oleg was surprised to hear that. So he observed what types of flowers I like the most. He saw that I love roses. He bought me a single rose and he happily watched as I made pressed flower out of it. He bought me a bouquet and I made a crown of roses. I wore the crown on my head for the rest of the day. Oleg was staring at me speechless. His previous girlfriends never did this. Roland got a kick teasing the heck out of Oleg. He was too embarrassed to say something.
We wanted to settle in there but Soren decided that things should as it was. I wanted to support him. So I moved to Luna. Link asked that I move to Central. The way he said was so flirty that Oleg looked like he wanted to rip him to shreds. Roland had to remind him that Link is emperor so if he tries anything then it's the end for us. Oleg decided to play dirty and gave me a hug. Link looked like he wanted to turn wolf and rip Oleg to pieces. Kuze reminded Link why we were having this call. The Native Americans wanted their homeland while we can have the rest. So the places were divided accordingly. I got to keep the Citadel and surrounding property. Some of the people moved back to their native countries across the world. They took seeds and other essentials with them.
Oleg was punching the wall for a reason so I told him about a daydream I had. I started, "We moved to the woods. There was a cottage surrounded by flowers. You would go chop some wood and come home. We would have dinner and find different ways to have fun" His hand stopped an inch from the wall. He turn around and faced me with a smile on his face. The next day we told the people that we are moving out of the place so they can build a home for a few dozen people. I told Soren where we were going and also informed the council. I did joke that if the zombie apocalypse come back then they are welcome to move to the Citadel as a safety precaution. I didn't mention where I was going to the Emperor. I knew that he would try something to stop us. I was done packing in under five minutes. I ordered the others to do the same.
The others packed their bags and the demolition crew arrived to smash the building. We found a private plane and we left for the place previously known as Ukraine. Kyiv is now urban jungle. Vines and other wild plants had overgrown all over the buildings, lamp posts and vehicles. Most people had to start with demolishing a building at a time. We went to the woods. We kept going till we found a village where my guards could reside. I on the other hand went to the woods where I had my cottage built for me.
Oleg asked me why didn't I build a fortress like the Citadel. I replied that when I was young. I had a note book that my uncle bought me. On the front was a snow capped cottage that would scream freedom. He would buy it as part of my school stationary every year. I was homeschooled by one of the neighbors. On the back would the times table. A few other things mentioned. It wouldn't matter what I used it for my attention would always fall on that cottage. He would buy me that notebook every year. Oleg was amused as were the others. Roland asked to see the book so I touched his palm to show him. The others got to see it as well.
After the others left I sat down and recall the days when I used to walk on crutches. I don't miss those days. I just felt like I could be doing things that I was denied being in a sort of prison. Mom would be worried when she comes home. We would play cards or watch a movie. How I used to think that mom was practically a queen and people should throw flowers on the ground she walks in. She would remind me of my hate of the washing machine. She would talk about how I would gently stroke her as I yell at the washing machine for not ironing the clothes. Batou would laugh as he listens to my banter. He would put his foot down when I starting kicking the washing machine.
Oleg came in with a bouquet of wild flowers. He said that he is going foraging for food. I asked if I could come too. I ran to be beside my boyfriend. I told him that I need to hone my skills for the next round of trouble that bursts my way. Trouble doesn't appear subtly it would charge like it is life or death and usually it feels like a hurricane. Oleg wanted to know what I was referring to. I told him that sometimes when it is my turn to rule I may or may not face a disaster.
Oleg laughed recalling Kuze telling him of a situation in one of my coronation day that began with a sort of catastrophe. He would watch how I handle it before I would sit on the throne. From what Kuze explained Oleg said that he imagined me dragging a sword. A once regal outfit had soot here and there and has a few years as well. Blood is dripping from my fingers and my lips. My hair looks like a depiction of a nuclear blast. A permanent scowl etched on my face as people bowed to show their respect. A curt nod to accept they humbleness and a look of seriousness for the disaster ahead. I made a mental note to tell Kuze to stop exaggerating.
