He was in a cruel world filled with monsters.
Takahashi Mito was existing quietly in a small restuarant that he took over a week ago.
He had cancelled his plans to leave for the countryside and had instead made the diner his place of stay.
It wasn't a rational decision but...
After he used the mirror monsters to kill the fat owner, the previous owner of the diner, Mito had realised that with his new bound power, he doesn't actually have to travel places.
He can just *zip* and *zap* and he will be wherever he wanted to be.
He instinctive had a know-how rundown of his abilities and after a week of trials and errors, he had proved himself right.
There's was no need to travel like a buffon when he can just go *zoom zoom*.
The mirror world was the exact replica of the actual world but inverted, with the same principle applying to the other side.
"The reality is often disappointing, isn't it?"
Mito sighed.
Anything that was taken from the mirror world dissipated in the actual world and anything from the actual world, once taken into the mirror world, disintegrated in a matter of seconds as well.
The rate of dissipation and disintegration were different for different objects as tested by Mito.
"The weird monsters, once taken out, can only exist to about 3 to 5 seconds in the actual world. After that, it dies or disintegrates. Too less information. But even this is helpful. Even they become too muc, I will just release them and watch them die."
If he had physical contact with the object and he wills it to come to the actual world.
That's how the restuarant owner died as well. Takahashi Mito just went to the mirror world and then took the monster to the actual world and returned to the mirror world.
The monster unable to find Mito ripped the restuarant owner and dissipated.
"But to think that a low class mirror monster was able to think about its situation and kill a normal person in just under 3 seconds is pretty amazing. I will use them to kill others if I am targeted by loan mafias or something. Another loophole found eh."
Mito said while looking at the picture of the restuarant owner with a sour smile.
"I forgot to throw that picture huh."
He got up from the chair that he was sitting casually on and picked up the photo frame and with a sleight of his hand, the frame disappeared.
"Magic!"
It wasn't. He can move objects to the other world without the need to go other as well.
"The mirror world is a really good place to hide anything."
He muttered while sitting down.
"No customers today as well. I may need to rob banks at this rate."
Takahashi Mito thought out loud while looking at the silhouette of a women who was coming near his restuarant from the glass panels of his door.
She was the main reason why he was still staying at the restaurant...
"Welcome, do you need something?"
Takahashi Mito calmly asked the woman who came for the third time this week, consecutively.
"Did Mr Harrison said anything?"
She inquired with hope in her eyes. Mr Harrison, the one in question was the previous owner that he killed.
Mito looked at her, she was wearing casual clothes, haggard, no makeup aand worry practically written on her face. He internally sighed.
"There is still no news of him. The police is still trying."
Takahashi Mito replied with hesitation.
This was the third time that he was answering the woman in front of him.
"I see... you already have my contact information, please inform me when you get any information."
The woman said in a low voice and left. Her steps heavy and her shoulders were down.
She seemed to be whimpering.
He looked at the silhouette of the woman as she went out of his sight and then towards the back of the store. A week ago, the little girl's mangled up body was lying in the cold freezer. Now nothing was there, not even the carpet.
"I should just tell her."
"But she might choose self-harm. The police said she had a history of it."
He looked at his reflection on the glass panels of the door. His eyes contained perplexed emotions.
If he told her, she might commit the end of herself(not her first try).
If he doesn't, she will break down bit by bit.
He wanted to help her but but he was not sure what to do. How would he even tell her? The situation wasn't some bed time story or any random accident.
And would she even believe him?
A day had once again passed and yet he was still thinking. Still unsure.
He can leave this place anytime he wanted to... but if he disappeared as well, he didn't know what she would do.
He didn't want her to die. He didn't know how to help her as well.
"What a cruel reality this is!"
