"You know what to do, right ? So cheer up and wait for the sun to rise." Tania then handing something from her cloak, "Here's the detail. I am waiting for your visit. Byeee."
"Let's be a colleague once more time, Cade." said Majordome then take his leave.
Tania and her butler leave in peace, leaving Cade contemplating by himself alone in the dining room while holding his head. The closing sound of a door then could be heard, the two of them has leave the house. Emptiness atmosphere is overwhelming the house, the clock is ticking, the sound of water dripping from the sink is filling the emptiness of the house.
Cade still can't believe it, he saw the most unnatural side of Nera. That being is still not leaving from her body completely and always reside inside her body. A being which only exist to shackle her and eventually protect her if something like before going to happen again. But the good thing is that her boss tell him to not to worry since that being is already neutralize by her. Since he saw how the exorcism goes on, he fully doubt her until he look at the result with both of his eyes.
Cade stand up, walking toward Nera's room to check on her condition. Opening the door, he peek at Nera who's sleeping peacefully on her bed. Feeling bad to disturb her slumber, Cade close the door again and leave her on her own.
*ding* *dong*
As soon as he close Nera's room, a sound of a bell is ringing in front of his house. Cade immediately approach the entrance cause he know who's going to come at this hour. The night is still young, the chance of that girl visiting them is high. And so, Cade open the door and see who's gonna be his guest on this night.
As expected, it is her who is visiting.
"Hi, Cade ! I came as I promise." greet The Landlord as she saw him opening the door.
"Ah yes, it's you. Come on in, be my guest." Cade welcome her.
"What do you mean it's me ?" the landlord frowned, "Ahaha I am joking." then laughed just to tease him.
Then, the landlord and Cade goes inside the house together. The landlord taking off her shoes and goes deeper inside following behind the owner of the house.
"So how was your day ?" ask The Landlord.
"Nothing happened. I just treat her ice cream and she was happy." said him hiding his depression.
Cade then direct her into the dining table which he always prepared to welcome the guest. The landlord then sit on the chair, she wait patiently for Cade who's serving a tea for her. The tea then poured down, a refreshing sound of splashing tea being poured down to a cup could be heard echoing around the house.
"Wow you are really good ! It's cool just to see you pouring down that tea." praise the landlord.
"Not really, it just that I am getting used to serve Nera like this." Cade then also pour one for him then sit across the landlord. "So, what makes you come here ?"
"I promised to you didn't I ?" The Landlord the frown for a moment, "Actually, there's also a regard from my grandma for you. She's so grateful that she know about your arrival yesterday. And so, she makes the noodle more special for the both of you !"
The landlord then put the gifts on the dining table, she open it and gave it to Cade directly. There's bunch of food inside the bag she put out. She put them on the table one by one until it completely fill the table with her gifts. Not sure why, the landlord also didn't know the reason about why her grandma love him so much.
"That's a bunch...." said Cade surprised.
"Ahahaha.... that's my grandma for you." The landlord smiled.
While stroking her arm, Cade then said, "Too bad, Nera is already sleeping by now." wistfully. He then turn down his head.
"It must be because of her, right ?" The Landlord innocently mention her before him.
"Her ? What do you mean ? Don't tell me, you saw--"
"Ah no no no, it's not like that. It just that I coincidentally saw her coming out from your house before. So I thought that.... uh.... she hurt your feeling once again."
"Once again ?"
"Listen, I know you may be pissed but I also hate that girl." the landlord smack the table, "Grandma once told me, that she tried to kill you by sent you out on the wilderness for five years long just because you disobedient to her. How treacherous girl she is."
A smile followed by laughter then carved on Cade's face. He shake his head while laughing faintly. Though his laugh were faint but it's an honest laugh he show toward her. Not meant to laugh at her but laughing with her. Sadly, the landlord couldn't catch up with him. So she frowned after hearing his laugh.
"What's so funny, I am telling the truth here. The grandma also told me about that with no doubt." The lLandlord inflate her cheeks while frown her eye brows.
"Ahahaha.... it's not like that. It just that if she told you like that, then we have the similarity. That girl is treacherous, indeed." explain Cade. "Everything goes in and out as everything should be. Let the past be the past. For now, I just have to think how to clean these meals to not become a waste."
"I think, I understand what do you want to say."
The atmosphere become empty again, a ticking sound of the clock could be heard once more. The landlord also turn down her head, thinking that this misfortunate event shouldn't befall on a kind person like Cade and Nera. But also, she mustn't think to hate the boss just because she tried to torture him in the past.
"Do you know, what grandma think when she think that she has lost you. She ain't even sad about it, she's always stand tall and look after your house until four years passed and she lost her ability to walk. She keeps believe in you, she keep stand firm to wait about your homecoming. Day by day she's waiting, she wait with me for your homecoming. Thus until I became her successor and look after to the house she always keep clean. The house which the contract yet to be expired due to the owner yet to occupy the house as he promises. But now you are here, filling the house once again. I also grateful seeing how delighted she is after hearing the news that you are back cause this is my grandmother's hope. Her hope hasn't fade, she believe that you might survive and come back at this house once again. Thus then, she made you this as the celebration for your survival."
Feeling touched, Cade rise his head and stare at the landlord's eyes. He smiled, hearing that there's someone out there that still caring about him. "Thank you, that's all I wanted to hear tonight."
"You know, Cade. The night is full of moon tonight. Why don't you try to go outside and see the wonders of the moon right now ?"
"Nera is still sleeping. I can't let her on her own in this house or our stock of tea would depleted as easy as the tide swipe the sand."
Both of them laughed, they do know how Nera loves tea so much. Somehow, after talk about Nera, Cade recovered already and his heart brightened once again. Feeling the same, the landlord think that it is the time for her taking her leave.
"Well, seeing you've recovered already, I think I'll take my leave for this night. Can't stay for too long, you know, grandma is sick and the night kiosk. You know, Green Hemimorphite's nature. Be sure to be happy man, my grandma don't cook for nothing you know."
"Alright, I understand. Please take care out there."
Cade escort the landlord until the entrance, they waving their hand as farewell token which they'll meet again sometime. The landlord telling the truth, the moon is in her full condition tonight. And as Cade close the door, Nera is suddenly appeared behind him while leaning on the wall beside her.
"Having fun without me, you tricky---"
"Nera !"
Suddenly, Cade immediately hug her blatantly. Feeling relieved, he hug her body tightly and stroke back of her head gently. He's so surprised at her condition which recovered so fast. Can't be expressed through words, he keep silent as his joy seeing her at her fullest. He's so glad that he could seeing her once again.
"Yes Cade, I am here. I won't leave your side anymore." said Nera to convince her worried master.
"Nera....."
"Yes ?"
"We will be always together, right ?" ask Cade in a soft tone.
"What are you talking about, silly. I am your servant, right. Of course we will be always together. Whatever will separate us, whomever tried to torn us apart, we will be always reunite and come back as one." said Nera while patting Cade's shoulder.
And then, Cade release his hand and invite her to a dinner which she always crave for. He guide Nera to the dining room, holding her hand so she won't leave his side anymore. Together, they sit at the dining chair to enjoy their celebration.
Nera surprised, her eyes sparkling, seeing so many delicacies on top of the dining table which she adore so much. She hop on the chair, waiting for Cade bringing her fork and spoon to eat. Such a blessing she think, the food is well cooked at the same time. Once she dig into the food, an incredible taste overflowing from her mouth like she hasn't eat for a while.
Cade glad having a beautiful friendship with the old landlord and her successor. The food they give lighten up their heart to the brightest tonight. To express his gratitude, he ate the food in full reverence and eat them properly.
Thus then, the night goes peaceful as Cade wishes for. Without any worries on his head, without any burden on his chest, the night full of laughter and joy together.
