Blake caught Prideulieven off-guard, as he used a technique designed to destroy and shred through weapons, armor, and shields. One he rarely used because it wasn't as useful even with such power.
The technique was tweaked to do almost no damage to living beings, but was capable of easily destroy their weapons, something he rarely needed as he fought monsters who were gigantic bulking giants with sharp claws, or sometimes they had weapons, but were made out of elemental energies, which this technique didn't work against.
Hence, he had never truly used it that much, even though it was part of the repertoire of abilities that the Spear God Arts Skill possessed from the beginning. And once that was even further enhanced by his Spear God Divinity, allowing him to break through the Xenoid's giant katana and destroy it.
