Next in line was old Sam ( the gardener ). Sam had lost his family to a car accident 12 years ago. He had been working with us for four years now and is a father figure to both Alex and I. Old Sam always said I looked like his baby girl and only child who was supposed to be about the same age as I. "Hello there Sam" I called, waving him over to the seat right next to me. "Hello cupcake" he replied coming over to give me a kiss on my forehead. "Did you sleep well ?" "Of course I did" I replied rolling my eyes. Sam chuckled "You won't blame me for asking, you're losing weight" he complained frowning. Seriously, twice in one day. Am I really losing weight ?. "Wow, what a spread!" Sam's voice brought me out of my thoughts. "Tell me about it" I muttered under my breath. "That's why you're here to join me" I replied audibly sighing. Alex really went overboard this time. " That's great. I'm hungry" he said patting his round belly "Hello", "Hi everyone" two beautiful voices chirped. "Good morning" everyone at the table replied. "Hello Laura, Hi Diamond" ( Household help ) "You girls look beautiful today" . "Thank you" they both replied "Why don't you both take a seat" I offered. They sat with smiles on their faces and began chatting with Sandra. After a few minutes Maria came in. "Where's Raphael" ( My driver ) I asked her. "He's out with sir Alex" She replied. Why would Alex be out with my driver ?. He better not try anything stupid. "Alright, since everyone's seated, Danny can you say our thanks ?" " Yes miss Liliana" Danny's cute voice filled the room. "Thank you for this food, thank you for this day, thank you for this family, that much we have to say." "Amen" everyone chorused. "Well, what are you all waiting for? dig in!" With that began a very satisfactory and noisy breakfast.
