He could remember that night well, it was emblazoned into his memory so deeply that he would not forget, he had been chosen his bosses to take inventory with specific instructions to have Kaito Nakamura and Akira Matsumoto assist him since they were still a small, upcoming company that still getting it's logistics department together at the time
Those two now that he looked back at it with a clear head, were awfully too enthusiastic to help him get the job done; the most eager of the two being Kaito Nakamura, claiming that it was a chance for them reconnect as "friends" since they had been distant lately due to working on different projects
Odd behaviors which he noticed from them included
1. They chose to walk ahead of him
2. They were speaking in hushed tones
3. Their postures, rigid/taut like a spring or a rattle snake ready to strike
4. The particular store room was oddly dimly lit and cold, the one place we were not supposed to go to without special clearance
My guess was they bribed the store clerk to change the official location that was listed to the restricted area
By 12 am, everything became eeriely quiet, everyone had left the building, locking up for the night to go home, it was then they decided to strike
As we made our way up to the store room, coming up to the seventh flight of stairs, they came behind me and pushed me down the stairs, it was so swift that I had no time to think nor realize what was happening, until I was falling.
I passed out as I fell, so I had absolutely no recollection of what happened afterwards till Alex McCloud woke up from the coma. Going back there felt like going back home, but things would never be the same again because I was no longer Alex McCloud, the mortal who that happened to, but rather I was now Satoshi McCloud, the god, who had a new unknown path open in front of him. Hence, we were now vastly different people
In other words, Alex McCloud would continue to live my former life as a video game developer, while I Satoshi McCloud would go on to live my new life as a god
