Chapter 7 - Kyndigs: The Other Side Of The Family

Check out this scenario

Ewan Buchanan was a member of the Kings men known as the Highland Guard, he was among those who served under King Kenneth MacAplin of Scotland. As the only survivor of the coup de'tat against King Kenneth MacAplin, he fled to Avalon where he met Viviane also known as the Lady Lake who healed his wounds completely, then had him drink from the divine springs of Avalon, thus making him immortal; thus creating the first Kyndig.

She gave him the laws of the Kyndig:

1. They are immortal but can be killed, though they can resurrect infinitely

2. They can be slain by other Kyndig

3. Divine weapons

4. Divine intervention

5. Or simply overcharging with power especially during childbirth, should the child be between two Kyndigs

6. Or by simply choosing to cease existing or choose mortal, age and die naturally. Note: It was added by Ewan Buchanan to allow future Kyndigs have the option of experiencing a mortal existence should they desire it.

Kyndigs are also permitted to shed their immortality for a period of 10 years becoming mortals, so long as the purpose is not for evil

7. The power of a Kyndig may be inherited or passed on by mortals but they cannot pass it on to another Kyndig as they are the same race

8. Kyndigs are either male or female

9. Kyndigs can be intimate with humans or themselves and have descendants, but they would surrender their powers and become human to conceive, so as not to overcharge themselves

10. Due to immortality and infinite resurrections, Kyndigs are monogamous, staying with with only one partner through many lifetimes

11. Kyndig children both hybrids(kyndig children with mortals) and true immortals(children between two kyndigs) do come into their powers until the age of 18 or 21(age of adulthood for Kyndigs), as such a protective seal is placed on them till adolescence or adulthood.

12. A Mentor stands in for the parent to train and protect the Kyndig children during the time when their powers have not manifested. Kyndig children are given to their various Mentors at a young age by the Clan Chieftain

13. A Clan Of Kyndigs is responsible for not more than one territory, however, they answer to one overall clan chief known as the Chieftain

14. Settling disputes in Kyndig society was done by duels, but these duels always ended if one party surrendered.
