The Field Defense System is nothing new; at most, with the advancement of technology, the equipment has been updated, and then the control system has become more advanced, combining various surveillance instruments with automatically controlled weapons.
There is no anti-aircraft radar; its size is still too large. The defense system air-dropped for Gao Guang's team should be precisely named Automated Infantry Defense System, which isn't bulky, but it's definitely cutting-edge and has been proven effective on the battlegrounds of Afghanistan.
The system includes four thermal imaging and night vision dual-mode cameras that can be used during the day as well, plus one set of radars to counter mortars and RPGs, capable of quickly identifying the launch positions and distances of mortars and rocket projectiles. These are the basic reconnaissance devices that make up the Field Defense System.
