If you can't sleep, then don't, just wait for the night to pick people up. A low-altitude parachute jump in the dead of night, especially over the sea, is actually a bit risky.
There are accidents even in regular jump training, let alone at night, and carry the added difficulty of jumping into completely unfamiliar territory, with strong winds over the sea. If anything goes wrong, it'd be terribly unjust.
Gao Guang was worried about Yuan Zheng and Lin Nianzu. Carlos was a bit injured, and this could pose problems during the jump. The rest were all experienced skydivers; not that they could do it with their eyes closed, but certainly without major issues.
