(Ryker-098) POV
Looking away from Tinker, scanning the room I see two crew men and two engineers at each of the cryo-pods waiting for the awakening process to be completed.
"Altera, how long until the others are awake"
"Master it will take 9 minutes until the waking procedures are completed, it could be done faster, but the ship AI Odysseus won't let me, should I brute force my away in, making the process go faster, master" she ask me, I can tell she already preparing to brake the system to gain access to the Cryo-pods, diplomas and subtlety wasn't her forte at all, if something was in her-way she'll just smash though it. Odysseus isn't meant for infiltration or combat, so she'll just completely wipe the floor with him.
"No let them finish, theirs no need to rush things" ,Telling her quickly, so she doesn't go and beat the living shit out of Odysseus, so she can just to gain access to the cryo-pods.
Soon each of the cryo-pod doors started to open one by one releasing clouds of steam from the opening Cryo-doors. Stepping out of the pods were fully armored Spartans they all had different colors and variety of equipment. As they walkout, crew-man and engineers began their work on the Spartans. Then tinker immediately rushed to the nearest Spartan pushing way the others away that were surrounding them, so he can personally examine them.
Soon the first Spartan was done being examined by the crew men, engineers and a final approval check by Tinker. Tinker whistled happily at the Spartan, the Spartan whistled right back. Then Tinker was off to the others Spartan, shoving and pushing anyone that got in his away.
The Spartan started walking toward me, her armor was black and grey with some small parts of her armor being white and yellow. My hud pulled up her information Cal-141, as she got closer, she put her index finger and middle finger in font of her mark 5(B) face plate, and did a quick swipe across her face plate to show that she was smiling. I couldn't help but smile at that, I did the same jester as well across my face plate.
"So, we made it to the new galaxy and to our surprise we're not under attack by a fanatic Alien race that wants us all dead, where off to a good start. Cal said that in a serious and mocking tone as she walk to my side.
" That remains to be seen, you never knows what out their, it could be a friend and we will make peace with them, if an enemy then we will fight them." I can feel Altera approval at my comment.
"Your right, but if they woke us up now, then there's a mission for us, that is very important." Nodding my head on what Cal said. Soon other Spartan where done being examined, they started walking towards us they greeted us with smile gestures, and we did the same. Soon we all heard Coles joyfully and excited booming voice. Turning my head I spotted Cole and Baird, Tinker moving towards them.
"Baird look, it's are floating gas buddy friend coming to say hi, come here baby, let the Cole train give you a hug."
"Yeah you do that, I'll run my own diagnostics, I don't need that slimy tentacle asshole touching me." Baird complain, Cole walk up to tinker opening his arms embracing the blue tentacle ball of gas. Tinker lift Cole off the floor plating, then place him back down then they soon separate.
"Come on baby, he just showing how much he appreciates you, you and him are alike, you both tinker and fix things, plus you keep bring him present." Cole said in a playful tone, while turning to face Baird.
"That floating blue asshole, keeps sneaking into my room and touching my stuff, then he leave his slime everywhere."
"That just means he like you those most," Cole said as thinker whistled his agreement.
" whatever just keep it away from me."
" don't worry baby, Baird just woke up on the wrong side of the tube this morning, he just needs some extra attention, go show how much you appreciate him." Then tinker slowly's turn to face Baird and slowly starts to float towards him.
"Hey what are you doing, stay away from me asshole" Baird try smacking away one of the tentacles, he missed and the tentacle shot towards him like a snake wrapping around his arm soon other tentacle started to wrap around him lifting him up the ground.
"Wow, hey put me down, hey stop rubbing against me, wooowww," due to Baird struggling so much he was flipped upside down.
" Hey tinker make sure you give Baird a thorough examination." Tinker whistled his happy approval to Cole excellent suggestion.
"Hey where do think your placing the tentacle at."
Cole was laughing at Baird miss fortune while clapping his lap and Baird was cursing out a storm while also screaming. Everyone in the room was either laughing or chuckling at the seen that happening in front of them.
Soon Tinker put Baird down, tinker whistled in completion of his thorough examination.
" You guys are total asshole."
"We love you to baby," Cole said while making a smiling jester in front of his face plate. Hell we were all doing it. Soon they both join us. Sam walk up to Baird.
"Not a word" Baird said .
"Oh cheer up sweet cheeks, someone needed to pull that stick out of your ass," Sam replied back she began to start to remove the big chunks of slime off of his armor, no matter how much they removed, he was still covered in slime.
Then petty officer Williams approached us.
" Sir, now that you guys are out and about, the captain wants to see you and the others in the briefing room" William said.
" all right we're on our way, Spartan move out", they all nodded and we all stared walking down the Corridor of the ship. We made are way to the briefing room and walk in the room, the room was the look like a theater room with a stage. We all found a spot to sit at. We waited for bit until one the door open a woman in a captain uniform and another woman that looks awfully familiar was in a black ONI uniform, as soon they enter I shouted.
"Captain on deck" we all stood to attention and saluting the captain.
" At ease spartan, you may take your seats. We'll wait for the others to arrive then we can start the briefing of your assignment," as the captain said this, my focus was on the woman in the black uniform, she look a lot like Reese the goddess I met, the woman in question felt my gaze. She look at me and gave me a playful wink and put her index finger to her lips while smiling at me.
