A man is currently walking in another town's streets at night. He is currently holding a half a bottle of sake as he continue to drink from it.
Usuma left his house after finding out that his wife haven't cooked anything for him. Her reasoning was that she forgot so he beat her up. However, when their neighbors threatened to report them to the authorities, he stopped and decided to go out.
The reason for his bad mood is because it has been a month after their last merchant raid. Him and his bandit buddies. After eating a bowl of ramen, he went back home but this time, only outside. As he sit there, a voice came calling him.
"Usuma! Yo, man. Kaato found us a 'job'."
Usuma looks around first before walking away with his 'friend'. As soon as they were away from his house, he asks him.
"What, where, when." His sullied mood starts to fade away after hearing the news.
"It was a suspicious ruins in a town in East Shimizu. The job is a week from now. We'll tell you the specifics of the job later. However, we're sure of one thing. Only a kid know the location of the treasure trove." The two shares an evil smile after hearing the information.
"Then, let's become rich."

After reading a book about sorcery, or rather magic from the dungeon's library, Hisashi comes to Koyori. This was because she has the key to the dungeon which was her bracelet.
In actuality, there are two keys for the dungeon… The bracelet, which was Benzei's and a personal swords of Gozu's that was in one of the previously locked doors. The room was locked according to Koyori but was opened after Benzei revealed their story.
After Hisashi inspected the two katana, he realized that it also has the same engravings in the back of the bracelet… but divided between the two. These swords were named as 'Muramasa' and 'Masamune' by Gozu.
Hisashi wants to take it at first but rebukes his decision after a while. He thought, he wasn't worthy yet to hold it as he was still too weak compared to Gozu, its owner.
For compromise, he uses it to train and keeps it there afterwards. Right now, he wants to read a new book and hang out with Koyori again so he looked for her.
After meeting up with Koyori, they are now on their way to 'their' dungeon.
"So, what training are you up to now?" Asks Koyori as she smiles while looking at Hisashi.
"I tried learning how to sense people's mana and found similarities with what Ryuya and brother calls Ki. So, I asked my father to teach me that too. I was able to slightly use it after a few hours or so."
"Really? Then you'll teach me that too?" Koyori's eyes lit up. For the past few months ever since she awakened her sorcery, Hisashi has been teaching her how to use it. Although he himself knows nothing, he was able to teach her while learning from the books on the dungeon.
Despite learning at almost the same rate, Hisashi was able to become a teacher for Koyori in her plant sorcery. It was even better that he can just use it too and show her how things are done.
As Hisashi and Koyori walk to the dungeon, a pain in the head hits Hisashi that made him stunned. At the same time, in his head, he was able to see something. Reviewing the events in his 'vision', he realizes something.
'This pain and this vision. It's the same as that time when Koyori was kidnapped.'
He, however, didn't stop and only slowed down. Then, he closes his eyes and tries to use Ki and sense the surroundings.
…
Concealing themselves using sorcery, Usuma and his comrades are waiting around the cave. According to one of them, the location of the dungeon is near the cave which is why they decided to camp in there.
As they continue to wait, one of their comrades sneakily runs towards Usuma and Kaato. Seeing this, the two were of course, curious.
"What is it?" Kaato asked.
"The little girl is accompanied by a young boy. They seem really close as they were talking about some books in a dungeon. Also, the boy has a training sword with him." The goon answered.
Kaato wonders hearing the word connected that the dungeon the two are talking about is the same ruins that they were aiming for.
"What do you think should we do, Usuma?" Kaato asks his partner. The two smiles before agreeing on the solution.
"Let's kill the boy, then make the girl spit out the treasure. Then the others know the rest." Everyone who heard their plan agreed on the suggestion. Unbeknownst to them, their plan was exposed the moment they formulated it and their fate were sealed.
…
As the two kids traverse their paths, Hisashi continued with his search for the source of the danger. However, he was never able to sense anyone or anything. The only thing he can feel is the massive amount of yoryoku in his brain which may be the source of the 'visions' he was having.
Although he somewhat trust his own 'visions', he can't help but be doubtful about it. Even more, he felt like something worse may happen if he turns back and go home with Koyori… And he was right.
In his vision, the two of them continued to trek the path unaware of the bandits waiting for them. This enables them to kill Hisashi fast and precise. The vision Hisashi was able to saw was him bleeding away after being hit by something. He has no knowledge of the attacker that killed him.
If he however, leave this place unknowingly, the consequences would be worse as an important person in his life will be gone. He doesn't know that, but he was able to feel it.
As they reach 50 meters away from the entrance, Hisashi became alert. That was because, he was now starting to feel many presence around the entrance. He wasn't just using his Ki, but also his mana sensing abilities which made him see the yoryoku enveloping their bodies.
When the two reach the 15 meter mark, something rustles on the leaves and a moving shadow appears. The shadow reveals to be a large wind spell aimed at Hisashi's back.
Without even looking towards it, Hisashi just raises his hand with only his two fingers unfolded as his eyes turns red and red lightning envelopes the green yoryoku of the wind spell.
