Chapter 15 - Chapter 14

Hisashi swipes his two fingers to the left as the wind spell hovers to the left. As a wind speed, it is naturally fast. This causes the other bandit hiding in the bush to be hit. The man couldn't say anything as a small gaping hole appeared on the tight upper chest of his body.

What happened made everyone alert. The 17 bandits that remained didn't even bother to hide and point their weapons toward the two kids.

As the two witnessed the appearance of many bandits, Hisashi didn't bother explaining before he pulls Koyori toward the nearest possible hiding spot. Given the situation, Hisashi deemed the most important thing right now is to survive.

With the bandits chasing over the two kids, no one was able to catch up as the two skillfully traversed the bumpy part of the mountain. Due to the unfamiliarity of the terrain, the bandits failed to decrease the distance between them.

Before the two lost them completely, one of the bandits decided to not hold back and use his sorcery.

[Fire Sorcery: Hi-Hi]

Two small balls of fire appear on the bandit's hand and shoot toward the figure of the two. Its round figure didn't make it fast enough to catch the two off guard as red lightning appears on the spell and it swerves in the opposite directions.

The bandits saw this and recognize its similarity to the previous scenario.

"It's that kid's trick! Everyone! Use a spell of yours. Let's see if this kid can still use his trick."

Usuma ordered his men as they all take out their scrolls. Some even stopped to concentrate their power on the attack.

As Hisashi feels a large amount of mana concentrating on the bandit's group, he felt the need to stop in his tracks. Although he never tried to use Analysis magic on that many spells, for him, there's always a first time for everything.

"Koyori, go first," Hisashi said as he slows down. Koyori, already knowing what is happening, gave him a worried look.

"NO! You can't do this again to me! Last time, it was only two. But there are so many bad guys now."

Hisashi finally stopped as he grabs Koyori on the shoulders.

"Listen, we need to do this or they'll catch us. Will you trust me one more time?" Hisashi said as he looks her straight in the eyes.

Koyori was almost about to get angry but she just nodded and runs. As she runs away from Hisashi, she can't help but look back at him in worry.

'You idiot! I thought you said that I was strong. If you are hurt like that again…' Koyori thought to herself as she stop her eyes from shedding a tear.

"FIRE!" Usuma shouts as the bandits unleash the spells they are all preparing. Hisashi readies himself and continues to observe all of the spells sent to him. It is a variety of elements and he gauges the power of each spell.

There are fireballs, wind attacks, water slashes, ice spikes, stone spikes, and even metal spears.

Usuma watches the spells from afar. He smiles evilly as he sees Hisashi stop and face the attack.

'What now kid?'

With the spells traveling at a fast speed, it didn't take long for them to reach close to Hisashi.

Usuma's smile arches wider when he saw how defenseless Hisashi is but then, his eyes grew wide. It was because all the spells they sent… stopped. All he saw was the group of spells being enveloped by a bolt of red lightning for a millisecond before stopping.

'I can't hold this many spells for too long.'

A great amount of mana was used by Hisashi as he initiated his move. Greater than the mana used on all the spells sent to him.

"Analysis Magic: Disperse"

He clasps his hand and all the spell that is levitating in the air right now disappeared. A big explosion of mana and a loud boom of shockwave were created.

Despite the distance, a large number of the bandits were momentarily stunned. Hisashi was too, given his distance from the shockwave, albeit less because he expected it.

Disperse is one of the spells he created using his Analysis Magic. Just like the Control one, it works the same way by taking control of the surrounding mana around the spell and taking control of it. Before, he used it to steer the incoming spell to the left but now, he used it to disrupt the formation of mana that created the spell, ultimately dispersing the attack.

On the outside, it is a strong spell best at turning an enemy's strength into their own but there are several weaknesses that Hisashi has yet to overcome.

First, he needs to be able to perceive not only the movement of the spell as a whole but the mana surrounding it as well. Because of this, spells that bypass his Ki and mana sensing with speed alone cannot be analyzed.

Second, given the requirement for him to take over the mana around the spell, the bigger and denser the spell, the harder and slower it is to analyze the spell. By the time he analyzed the spell, it would've already hit him.

Third, stronger and more specialized types of sorcery or magic are harder to analyze than normal spells making the analysis need more time to be done.

Lastly, the more spells he needs to analyze, not only need more mana but also more focus to the point of him needing to use his Ki at full focus, exhausting him quickly. This also applies to him holding the spells at his disposal.

What Hisashi is lucky at though, isn't only his massive mana pool equal to tens of mages, but also his control on mana equal to that of elves and special races.

After seeing the spells thrown disappear in an instant, a look of shock can be seen on every bandit. It didn't take long for them to panic as they all run in different directions. After all, five big wind blades are accelerating at their group. It was the same wind spell used on him by Taoru months ago.

[Wind Sorcery: Fengiu]

This time, however, it was a little bit different. Not only was it bigger but not only can it slice things apart, but it also produces wind a strong wind force upon contact.

"Sorry, I just have a bad history with wind spells. I hope you can understand."
