At the church, Lucas planned on staying at the
carriage but hazel didn't let him
"You wouldn't like what Xavier will do yo you if he finds out you left me all alone in the church, what if a dark witch comes after me?" And Lucas knowing it was true, followed her
"I'm sorry for keeping the key longer than expected" Hazel apologized to Connor
"No problem, I knew you had other things to do"Connor replied
" Here's the key" Hazel said and handed it to him
"So were you able to find the masked man and know who he is?"
"Yeah and it was surprising to know who it was"
"Who was it?"
"My dad"
"Your dad?"
"Yes and I found out he's a switcher, you know what it is right?"
"What!!"
"I'll take that as a yes. I was shocked also when he told me"
"You said your mum was a deal witch right?"
"Yeah"
"How long had this switcher stayed in your dad's body?"
"Before I was born"
"That's means he has been he's been your dad all along"
"Yeah"
"What's his name?"
"Lionel... Lionel Harlow. Is that supposed to be a question"
"No I mean his real name"
"Oh that.... I think its Mor..... Morgan"
"MORGAN!!" Connor shouted
"You know him?" Hazel asked carefully
"Yes.... No.... I don't know him"
"But you just sounded like you do"
"No, I just find the name familiar, that's all"
"Ohhh....OK...." She said not fully convinced "I'll bring back the books when I'm done with them" she informed
"Sure, but be quick with it, I need them"
"I will" and with that Hazel left making a wide grin appear on Connor's face. Damien who had been keeping an eye on Connor noticed this
When the carriage reached the mansion, Lucas was quick to come down as he scurried away while Hazel went to the room. After noticing that Xavier wasn't yet back, she decided to sleep for a while before looking for a place so she can practice her fire ability.
She woke when lunch was served, after eating, she then proceeded to go somewhere with more space and somewhere or a room that is filled with candles..... Something related to fire though. She headed outside the mansion, to the back of it where she was sure, she had seen them lit candles before.
She started her practice with the help of the lamps placed around at the back of the mansion. After practicing for some time, she proceeds to head back. As she passed, she came across a passage leading to a rusty door down it, she hasn't come towards this place before so she hasn't noticed something like this. Curiously, she walked down the passage and reached the door which was unlocked, weirdly she thought it would be locked but fortunately, it wasn't. The door led to stairs that seems to be leading to a underground basement, climbing down the stairs, she reached a room which was dark except for the few lamps around. She walked some distance and a string smell welcomed her, it was the smell of blood mixed with rotten bodies
'Do Xavier kill people here?' She thought
As she walked closer, she could see some cells and hear some shackling of chains behind the bars.
"Help me" a man whispered as she passed his cell which startled her a bit "please help me" the man said again. Hazel had yo strain her eyes to get a view of him, he was looking malnourished and badly beaten with purple bruises all over
"Why are you here? What offence did you do?" Hazel asked
"The Lord thinks I tried to kill him"
"Xavier?"
"Yes"
"Why?"
"I swear on my life, I didn't do such and I'd never think of such"
"I'm sorry, I can't help you, I'm just passing by here for the first time" she said proceeding to walk pass the cell when another voice was heard, this time a female
"Nice to finally meet you Hazel" it was coming from the opposite cell. Hazel turned to get a view of who it was but the prisoner man warned her
"Don't go close to her, she's bad" he said but Hazel ignored it. The light from the lamp didn't fully reach this cell so she couldn't see the woman's face properly
"Who are you? How do you know my name?" She asked
"I'm surprised you haven't sensed who I am" the voice said and Hazel knew who she was talking to. A dark witch
"My bad, you're a dark witch..... Looks like Xavier is really taking good care of you. Now to my second question, how do you know my name?"
"Well, Xavier talked about this pretty girl always, so I guesses it was you"
"Good guess"
"I know much about you"
"I hope they are good"
"You're the girl we are after, the girl that can kill an immortal who is Xavier and you're a white witch from what I heard but I can't seem to sense it.... Its like you covered up your scent. Did you?"
"I guess"
"You can surely help a fellow witch with whatever potion or spell you used so I can escape from here, hmmn?"
"I'll have to turn you down on that"
"I expected it but there another way to help and this will benefit you"
"What's it?"
"Its simple, you free me and I'll take you to selles,you can negotiate with her whatever you want from us if you get Xavier killed, then you kill Xavier and rule with us. You can be given a high rank" she suggested
"This is the second time I'm getting this offer, well, except for the negotiations"
"Looks like you've been given a chance to correct your mistake then"
"Hmmn"
"So are you just a white witch?"
"Why do you ask?"
"Well, you had said earlier that you used a photons to conceal your scent but I don't believe that"
"Why is that"
"Cause I know when a spell or potion is being used and when something seems natural and in your case, I guess its the later. Do you have purifying abilities by any chance?"
"Why wood you think so?"
"That's the only explanation to someone being able to erase his scent naturally"
"That's....."
"Enough with the talk" a voice said and they both turned to see Xavier with Lucas by his side walk-in closer to them "what brought you down here, Hazel" Xavier asked
"I was just passing, I didn't know I wasn't supposed to..."
"And you decide to talk with a witch? Get back to the room, I'll be with you shortly" he said and Haze left, he then turned to the witch "so, how was your talk with my woman?"
"Nice, and I found out a few things"
"Do tell"
"She's a white witch with purifying abilities, just the perfect sacrifice we need instead of you"
"Wow, you're really smart. You figured this out just within the few minuted you spent with her?"
"Sure"
"Then, I don't think I can let you live any much longer"
"What!!"
"I can handle you guys going after me but not Hazel, and I don't trust that somehow this will stay with you"
"I'm a fucking prisoner here!! How the hell do you think I'll expose this to other witches!!"
"You know what to do" Xavier said to Lucas ignoring her and left the dungeon
"You can't kill me!!" She kept shouting repeatedly
"Oh yes I can" Lucas replied
At the room, Hazel sat waiting for Xavier to walk in and after some minutes, he did
"Will it be wrong to say that you just behaved dumb out there?"
"What? How?"
"You just spent a a little time with that witch and she figured out everything about you, even the part that you are a more better sacrifice as compared to me"
"I never told her that"
"I didn't say you did"
"Then its not my fault"
"Look rabbit, I'm trying my best to make sure the dark witches don't find you, and I'm not doing it cause I'm scared about you killing me, I can take care of myself, instead. I'm doing it so you won't get killed in the process, I can't bear losing you, rabbit"
"You won't, I can protect myself also, I got my abilities"
"Abilities you haven't fully learnt"
"Hey, you're not meant to look down on it, I've fully learnt that if water and wind"
"What were you doing at the dungeon?"
"You never told me there was a dungeon in the mansion"
"I'm the Lord, rabbit and this is the Lord's mansion, what did you expect?"
"Oh"
"So, why were you doing there?"
"I was searching for a place to practice cause I might mistakenly burn the room if not careful, and my legs took me there"
"Your legs?"
"Yeah, I walk with my legs"she said and he sighed in disbelief
"Next time, don't let them notice you so fast"
"I'll try, like I said, its not my fault"
"Or better still, stay away from dark witches in a whole and the dungeon, at least, until you have finally mastered you abilities well"
"What did you do to her?"
"Kept her mouth shut forever"
"Let me guess, you killed her"
"That's the only way"

"How was your visit with Connor"
"Good, except Lucas was behaving strange, he even masked out at some point. I think he's not still over the fact I turned him to a frog, toad"
"He'll get over it, give him time"
"Sure"
"And Evelyn?"
"You knew she came?"
"Hmmn"
"I think she knows we are fooling her, and I personally think she mean no harm, she trying to help Elliot but he doesn't want"
"Really?"
"Yeah, she said his godfather is also helping"
"Godfather?"
"Yes, uhm.... Crane"
"Isn't he a Hawnet?"
"Yeah, but he's just like a godfather to Elliot"
"That's Elliot's problem, he'll sought it out himself"
"We have to help him at least"
"He can sought himself out"

"Its dinner time, let's go"
