Earlier that morning, when Hazel had gone to meet with Connor, Elliot had gone secretly along with her to the church. He too wasn't all too trusting with the new Connor ever since he had came back from Poetwyth. And after Hazel left, he waited to see how he would react after they talked. He seemed surprised when Hazel told him some things about her that he ought to know and he also found that weird
He stayed and watched his actions, and he found out that he was planning in going out. He decided to stay and see where he was going cause he seemed to be in a rush. Later on, after Connor was done with what he done with assigning work to the nuns, he left the church, heading towards the outskirt of the town, which was towards the forest. He walked some distance into the forest, before he stopped at some hunted decapitated looking house before going in. Elliot snooped around trying to hear their conversation and who he was talking to. When he saw that it was Selles in there, he wasn't surprised but also he felt angry. He knew something was off somewhere.
"What brings you here?" Selles asked as she saw Connor "you're are meant to be at the Church"
"Sure, but I have some news that you might find interesting"
"And what's it"
"Its about the girl, Hazel" he said "I just found out that she's a special breed and with her we don't need that demon anymore"
"How's that?"
"First, did you know that she was a black witch at first before she..."
"Of course, her mum was. "Is that what you came to tell me" she said getting annoyed
"No, then, did you also know that she has purifying abilities, which is very rare"
"She told you that" Selles said getting interested and also shocked with the news
"Yeah, and it seems like Connor knew about this cause she expected me to know it."
"Then why didn't you tell me this since, did you know how this would have lessened some problems"
"Connor might have hidden some of those important memories so I wont have access to them. If I knew, I would have told you, just like now"
"Stupid prick" she said referring to the real Connor "Now we have one less problem to deal with, we just need to get the girl"
"How about Morgan?" Cross asked
(Remember Cross is in Connor's body, so don't get confused with them)
"He has still refused to join us" she said as a frown made its way to her face"
"So what do you plan on doing now" Cross asked
Elliot was still outside hearing their conversation when he felt something wrong. he wanted to wait and see what their plan was going to be, now they realised that they only needed Hazel but he felt something was off and it had to be connected with Hazel, so he left, promising to find Connor and get him talk about their plan when next he had time.
When Elliot reached the mansion, he found Xavier at the garden, which was so unlike him, so he went to meet him. He noticed that he his face was gloomy.
"She's gone" Xavier said after some time of both staying in silence to which Elliot immediately understood, maybe that was the off feeling he felt earlier
"Where's she now" Elliot asked
"She's still sleeping, she left while we cuddled" he explained further
"We have to stick to the plan"
"I know, I don't just think it will happen soon"
"Why? It's been some weeks she was gone the first time. I'm more surprised that she stayed this long"

"And you should know that the witches now know that Hazel has purifying abilities, and they are solely going to be after only her now"
"And how did they know about that!" Xavier said getting angry
"My suspicions were right and something was off about that priest"
"Connor?"
"Yes, but apparently, he's not Connor but a switcher that has possessed Connor's body and he had told the witches about that"
"What! So all this time, it wasn't Connor but some damn switcher!!" He shouted "They thought they could play us for long huh, now it makes sense about why he asked for Morgan"
"Oh yes, and about that, it was the witches that held him captive, they are trying to get him to their side but he's not bulging."
"What do they plan on doing now?"
"I didn't get to hear them as I rushed to see what's happening, I felt that she left"
"Well, that will make our work easier, they get whoever is in Hazels body faster so my rabbit could come back quickly"
"You know that you still have to show the new Hazel some affection, even if it's a bit, so she doesn't find something off"
"I'll try my best" he said grudgingly
Later on, during the evening, Kyle woke up to see herself in a much well kept room than the one she had always been back at the barrier, and she felt a rush of happiness.
"Finally I'm here, and I'll get all that I've ever wanted" she said to herself smiling
She came down from the bed and tried searching for Xavier, she couldn't wait to see him and hug him to herself. She wasn't familiar with the room but she used the setting of the mansion back at the barrier and it helped. She search the drawing room, then the attic, which was surprisingly locked this time
'Doesn't he leave it open for Hazel to come in anytime she wants. Why is it closed then' she thought
After some time of searching with her not seeing him, she headed back to the room where Collins informed her of dinner. She used the opportunity to ask him of Xavier.
"The Lord had left the mansion since the afternoon, Lady Hazel" he said and Kyle cringed when he called her by the name Hazel. How she hated that name
"But isn't he supposed to be back by now?" She asked again
"He should"
Kyle left with nothing to say, dismissed Collins as she prepared to head down for dinner.
At the dining, everyone was seated excluding Xavier and Elliot and this got Kyle worried a bit, although she finished her food but she kept glancing at the door most of the time, awaiting Xavier' arrival.
"Why isn't Xavier here for dinner?" Dorin asked Kyle
"I don't know" she simply answered
Dorin was trying to get an opportunity to get Hazel trust her and she thought it was a good time, so she said
"Well, from the looks of things, Xavier wouldn't be back this night, and I know that he's the only one you talk to in this mansion"
"That's right"
"Won't you feel bored alone?"
"Well, I can manage"
"I was hoping we could talk, just us"
Kyle knew that Dorin and Hazel never had a good relationship, so she was suspicious of why she wanted them to talk. But later on, she decided to go with the flow, its not like she can harm her anyways, she would just stay in an open place where there were guards, so she won't be able to hurt her
"Sure" Kyle agreed which made Dorin stunned. She wasn't expecting her to agree that easily "but I decide where we'll stay and talk"
"Sounds okay to me" Dorin agreed also
They both agreed to meet at the garden and when they did, Kyle urged Dorin to say why she wanted to talk to her
"Hazel" Dorin started, once again making Kyle frown a bit at the name but she said nothing though "I know we didn't start on the right foot but I was hoping that we could now. I'm sorry for whatever that have transpired between us, this past months and I want to change, I hope we can become at least friends. I don't want to fight you any longer. I now understand that Xavier is yours and nothing can be done about that, I just wish I'll find someone that will love me as he loves you"
She said with tears forming in her eyes, making her look really sorry and pitiful. Kyle seeing this thought that she was really sorry and decided to forgive her. To her, it would be best if they lived in peace rather than how they lived with Hazel, she could also make friends with her and she wouldn't have to be bothered about enemies, instead of just learning spells like Hazel did, all day long, and besides, she doesn't have any idea on spells. She would think of that some other time. It was a perfect dream to her and she didn't hesitate to forgive her
"Sure, Dorin. I forgive you and we can be friends" she said smiling as she stepped forward to hug her to which Dorin accepted
'Dumb human' Dorin thought as they hugged
