Chapter 50 - Claws and talons

After taking Ruby inside her house, and giving her a bowl of cookies, Tai, Qrow, Blake; Ilia, and Sienna all looked at me.

"What? You'd expect me to beat up a girl that was younger than me?" Hearing that, they all began to murmur at my words.

Soon, they all agreed that my question was valid and left Ruby inside to do what she was doing. After that, Qrow made his way towards me, standing in front of me with an aloof look on his face.

"So, you've beaten both Ruby and Yang, that ain't something a lot of kids can do, not bad." Qrow smirked and knelt down in front of me.

"So, how's about having a spar with a veteran huntsman? I could give you a few pointers." He pointed at himself and smirked, however, Sienna didn't like it one bit

"How about you face me instead, human?" Qrow just chuckled at Sienna's demand and stood up to face her.

"Fine, don't blame me if you whine afterword's." He said and made his way to a weapon rack, grabbing a wooden great sword.

Sienna only scoffs and unfurled her whip, but not before grabbing the end and pulling off the knives to not cause any stab wound.

"Huh, kinky, I like that." Hearing this caused Sienna to look at Qrow in disgust, who only shrugged at her reaction.

"Hey, you have your taste, I have mine." He chuckled and began to walk towards her. Seeing this, Sienna only flicked her whip towards his head, trying to end the fight.

However, Qrow only tilted his head side to side, avoiding each strike with ease, while blocking the end with the flat side of the great sword.

"Y'know, you got some anger issues lady, acting all high and mighty." He began to speak, slowing causing Siennas blood to boil.

"I know that, and I'm trying to improve." Sienna growled, rushing forward with her arm pulled back.

"Really? Cuz all I see is a cat that's angry after getting wet." He grinned, placing the wooden great sword in between them, blocking the fist that was about to strike him.

"He's taunting her, trying to make her mad." Blake spoke with concern, her hand gripping my sleeve.

"She'll be fine, Blake. Sienna did the same to us when she started to train us." I patted her head.

"Well, you did almost kicked her off the boat, after she said that tea was nothing more than just leaf juice." She giggled at the memory, causing me to grumble in annoyance.

"Tea is more that just leaf juice, it has many flavors and can have many effects." I said without missing a beat.

"Okay grandpa, just let me know when you're done monologuing." Blake giggled, I only huffed at her words began to pull her cheeks.

"Listen Blake, I don't judge you, and mom, on what you read, so don't judge me for getting mad when someone calls tea leaf juice." I spoke, my eyes narrowed and my voice was flat.

"Okay, shtap pulling, it hwwwuts!" Blake spoke, trying to pry my hands off. Only after a few more seconds did I pull my hands back, smiling.

"Good." Our attention was then brought back to Qrow and Sienna. Sienna herself was face first on the ground, her arm being held behind her by Qrow.

"C'mon, just tap out and have a drink with me, I know a good bar in Vale that has some good booze." Hearing him say that made my ears perk up,

I gently moved my hand towards the ground and grabbed a rock, one that was big enough to make a small cup.

I then flicked my finger, like striking a match, and began to heat up the rock. With my bare hands, yes, my bare fucking hands, I began to mold it, rolling into a large sphere.

Once done, I began to push the center down while making a cylinder. I had to roll the cylinder a few times to make sure it was alright.

Once I was done, I placed another stone in front of me, placing the now formed cup in front of me, letting the cup cool down.

Not before having my mother stay where I was to keep the cup from cracking. She placed both of her hands on either side, making sure that she was slowly dropping the temperature to prevent it from cracking.

As the cup cooled, I made my way inside, grabbing my bags of tea leaves, all ranging from different kinds, while at the same time, grabbing a pot and filling it with water.

As I made my way back outside, I sat down next to Blake, and placed the pot on top of my hand and began to heat it.

"Aiko, are you… okay?" She asked me, scooting away from me.

"Yes, I am. Why do you ask?" I turned my face to her, my eyes empty and a far too calm smile was on my face.

"T-the water is boiling." She pointed out while scooting farther away, avoiding the water that jumped out of the pot.

"Oh, thank you for pointing it out." I then tossed a small bit of lavender, letting the flower mix with the water. The scent slowly wafting through the air.

I then pulled out a fan, slowly waving it up and down, the scent made its way towards Sienna, who was still growling at Qrow. Only to slowly calm down and breathe deeply.

Seeing this, Qrow turned towards me and saw what I doing, with my mother hidden next to us with the now finished cup.

"Hey, that's cheating!" Qrow shouted, pointing at me.

"What? How can this be cheating when I'm just making tea? I'm not causing any interference, right Blake?" I asked my sister.

"Y-yeah, that's pretty dumb of you to accuse my brother for something he likes to make!" Blake played along at my act.

Qrow wanted to say something back, but was then struck in the stomach by Sienna, who took the chance to attack.

"Ohhh, right on the liver!" He groaned, and knelt down coughing. However, Sienna didn't budge from her spot, only narrowing her eyes at Qrow.

"Damn, that usually works." He stood up, dusting himself off and lifting the wooden great sword again.

I had my mother quickly make a new cup for Sienna and poured a bit of the tea in the cup that was finished.

"Ah, that's checkmate." I spoke, slurping the tea.

"What-?" I cut him off with another loud slurp, letting it hang in the air for a few seconds.

"What do you-?" I cut him off with another long slurp, my eyes never breaking contact with hers.

"Are you just-?" I then began to slurp the rest of the tea that was in my cup, not breaking eye contact through the whole time.

"Whatdoyoumeancheckmate?!" He shouted before I could make another slurp, I only stared at him, and he stared at me.

"It's rude to interrupt someone who is drinking tea." I said and watched Sienna punch him in the face.

Only this time, it was enough to send him rolling onto the ground. His aura then flickered for a second and soon turned invisible once again.

"Oh no, this won't end well." Blake placed her hands together and began to pray.

"Oh brother gods, may you give this poor drunk man be given mercy." I then slipped her a small piece of fish in her hands, and she happily ate it.

"Welcome to the dark side, Blake." I smiled and patted her head.

"Okay, I'm gonna ne- argh!" Sienna then kicked Qrow on the face, sending him tumbling once again.

"Hey, she did that to you as well." Blake commented at the attack, and I felt my cheek ache at the memory.

"So? Sienna pulled your ears when you tried to ruin her pants." I refuted, causing her to look at me with narrowed eyes.

"Who was the one who spilled tea on one of mom's favorite novels, and had to write the all three books by hand?" She asked.

"Who was the one who had said novels under their pillow?" I asked back, the two of us then leaned backwards, letting Qrow pass by and skidding onto the dirt.

Looking closer, his aura began to flash even more, and soon, it broke. We then turned to Sienna, who was breathing heavily, and a bit of steam began to rise from her arms.

"Get ice, I'll check on Sienna." Blake nodded and rushed inside, while I made my way to her side.

"Sienna, are you okay?" I asked her while raising my guard, since she had used her semblance when she faced Qrow.

"Yeah… I just… I just need a minute." She replied and sat down, I however didn't lower my guard and stayed where I was.

"Sienna, here's some ice!" Blake rushed back out with a bag in her hands, she was about to get close to her and place it on her head, but I grabbed her from behind.

Stopping her before she was struck in the face by Sienna's foot and landed on the floor with fear.

"Right, never approach her after she uses her semblance." Blake whispered, I then took the pack of ice from her hands and made my way towards Sienna.

"Aiko, wait!" Blake wanted to stop me, but I ducked under a kick from Sienna, who then tried to cross kick me.

"It's fine, I can reach her." I called back to Blake while dodging a few punches from Sienna.

Sienna then went for a left haymaker towards me, wanting to knock me out quickly. I however jumped up and crossed my arms in front of me.

Not only blocking her punch, but gripping her arms to hold her arm in place. Once I landed back on the ground, I leaned back to prevent her from pulling her arms back.

Causing her to growl and raise her other arm, as she swung it towards me. I grinned and dropped down with my full body weight.

As I dropped down, Sienna was thrown off balance and was flipped into the air, her body slamming onto the ground with the air knocked out of her.

"S-shit, you've gotten better, but I'm not done yet!" Sienna tried to pull herself up, only to scream in pain.

She turned to look at me and saw I wrapped myself around her arm, pulling it in the opposite direction.

She tried to pull her arm back up, slowly lifting it with me on it since I didn't weigh much and tried to use her other arm to pry me off.

I however didn't bother to play nice and had my tails wrap around it, pinning both her arms down and placing the ice on her head with a free tail.

As soon as the ice was placed on her head, she stopped struggling and began to calm down, the steam that flowed from her arms stopped and I was able to let go.

"Better?" I asked her, standing in front of her with a smile.

"Yeah, I'm feeling better. Is the tea ready?" She asked me and stumbled when trying to get up.

I made my way back to Blake and grabbed the pot, while my mother handed me a new cup.

"Milk or honey?" I asked her while pouring the tea into the new cup I had my mother made, Sienna only snatched it and blew into it, taking small sips as she drank the tea.

"Neither, you know I just like it how it is." She sighed in relief, her body slowly relaxing at the taste and the warmth that flowed through her body.

"Damn, still good as always." Her lips twitched slightly up at the taste, meanwhile Qrow soon sat next to us, with a flask in hand and staring at her.

"So, is that a no to my invitation?" The only response he received was his flask being launched from his hand and cut in half.

"Aww man, that had my vodka." He slumped and sat next to us, watching us enjoy the tea I had made.

(A/N) Hey, hey, here's todays.

I'll admit, I think this was the worst interaction I had made, then again, I'm not the reader, what do you guys think?

Anyways, send some power stones to show support and I'll try to increase my updates if I can.

For now, peace
