Two elongated tusks, each as long as a man's arm, curved outward from its mouth. Most striking were its piercing golden eagle eyes set in a serpentine neck that could extend to twice its normal length.
It moved like a panther, sharing the big cat's fluid grace. Though Nathaniel couldn't identify the creature's species, its predatory gaze left no doubt it was carnivorous.
