There was a limit to what they could do, and if it weren't for Erik and the queen inadvertently killing the bugs, they would have been swarmed by now.
But that didn't mean they weren't still risking it. They had to constantly keep on the move to avoid being swarmed, but with how many the bugs were, it was hard to find a suitable spot that wouldn't be filled with monsters a second later.
