it was normal dad, everyone was going on with their day to day life. when a deep emotion less voice sounded in our mind.

With that announcement within the following days mana density started increasing. Rewards from the dungeon changed and someone even found something like [ability upgrader].
Alastair family influence spread even more. As they started recruiting for more talented people.

"I already informed your family that you are here . They will come to fetch you soon."
Devon said as he finished the flashback story.
I was about to check the status screen when devon said something.
"You know your family placed a reward for you."
"Is that so… "
I said as I moved my gaze toward him. By using the information about the reward he was signalling me to not forget about him.
I just smiled
"How much was the reward?"
Even I was curious how much my family valued me.
"Around 100 million credits."
'That's low'
I thought to myself. With my father being the head of the family the reward was too low. This conclusion didn't just come from how my father would react.
The elders of the family cared too much for the family's reputation so there was no way that they would put such a cheap award for me. A direct descendant of the only king level power house.
'Something is not right with the family.'
I thought to myself as I gesture devon to leave. His work here was already done and I would not forget his reward.
Nodding his head Devon left the hotel. And I headed toward the elevator .
After reaching the floor I looked at my key. it was white rectangular card with a silver lining at the corners and numbers at the bottom.

I headed toward the door with number 52.

As I opened the door the first thing I saw was the living room with a balcony at the left side. On my right side were two doors with considerable distance apart. The whole suit was decorated with luxurious paintings.
I ignored everything and headed toward one of the rooms.
I sat on a bed and started doing mana control immediately. I couldn't care less about what was going on in the family until I managed to control my strength.
As I was doing mana control I noticed I had another mana core inside me. The only difference was that it was black in colour and much bigger than my original mana core.
"It's cursed mana "
I didn't forget the load of mana I got after killing that vampire it must have condensed itself into the core.
Anyway I didn't Dwell on it much longer there was no problem with cursed mana for now.
All I needed to do now was regulate my normal mana and increase its capacity in one breakthrough.
I was already close to the breakthrough in the dungeon but I didn't get time to do it. But it didn't take much time now.
small ethereal balls of mana surrounded me from head to toe as in the next movement they all entered my body.
in the next second my whole body started feeling hot and I breathed out the black gaseous substance for my mouth.
every breakthrough in mana capacity would result in removal of impurities from the body further pushing it toward perfection.
taking a deep breath I opened my eyes.
'with this breakthrough I can control my strength far better. although not fully I should have gotten considerable control over it.'
with that thought I decided to use my status screen.
"[ Status Screen ]"
as I called out a golden screen appeared in front of me.

(★I understand that many of you might be confused right now so I'll explain
first of all I divided some of the ability in skill because they suited that option more.
★mana regeneration and cursed mana blessing are different. Mana regeneration will increase the recovery speed of mana whether it be normal or cursed whereas cursed mana blessing will only regenerate cursed mana.
★There is not much difference in undead Stamina and Stamina regeneration. Stamina regeneration will increase the recovery speed by five times and undead Stamina will give 100% stamina per second. combined they will give 500% stamina regeneration per second )

( I will put Eric's status in the auxiliary chapter so, as to not take too much space in ongoing chapters )

as I looked at my status screen I was puzzled.
"It seems like it uses a different kind of power system and it sorted out my abilities into different skills ."
according to this screen I was S ranker already it might be because of my fighting powers. but according to Earth's power system which was dependent on mana capacity I was still C rank not taking cursed mana into account.
"so in conclusion I should be able to put up a fight with S rank awakeners without much problem "
although I knew how powerful I was it still shocked me. to be able to fight with S rank awakeners that's just how powerful I was.
"I need to be cautious to not show my power to other people "
Although the status screen's rating was high who knew if I could trust it or not. and I needed to figure out what to do with Maverick, it might be possible that he was in cahoots with another person and there was a situation with my family too.
currently there was too much on my plate and I needed to figure out everything.
"haaa..."
I sighed as I fell on the bed. I was quite exhausted myself not physically but mentally. too much was happening in too little time.
After a few minutes of staring at the ceiling I dozed off.

I woke up from my sleep. I didn't know how much time had passed and I didn't care.
I walked toward the bathroom door lazily and when I came in front of the mirror my eyes widened in shock.
there was someone else in the mirror, no it was me it's just....raven black hair, pale skin and red tint in my eyes those were all the features which changed.

at least now I understood why devon tested me with mana signature device. even I wouldn't trust myself for being Alastair.
even my light red hair were gone. the most known characteristic of an Alastair.
'it must be because of the vampire progenitor physique.'
I thought as I remembered the vampire sitting on the throne also had black hairs and red eyes.
putting the matter of my appearance aside I remembered that I also had to check the item which I took from the dungeon. so I headed toward the shower and came back fast.
now I am sitting on my bed with a small fracture in space. it was due to my skill [pocket space].
moving my hand in that crack I took out the red orb with a symbol of white flame in it.
I spelled the words [ Item information ] and attributes of this thing showed up.

a simple description I suppose but this came from that throne room so it was bound to be not so simple.
actually other than the abilities which came from ability Orb there was no way to give a rank to ability.
but I think that changed when status screen came now everyone would know what rank your ability is.
anyway instead of absorbing ability normally ( by crushing the orb )
instead I used Chaos fire on it. reason? when I absorbed the vampire progenitor physique there was one peculiar information I noticed

that was the thing I noticed I didn't know what drawbacks it was talking about but I assumed Since it was vampire it must be related to something like sunlight, garlic and cross or something.
so using Chaos fire was more safe then directly absorbing it. and I did just that
