Glancing at the reflecting pool, it seemed like although Lady Hua was progressing at a steady pace, she still wasn't having an easy time progressing forward. Assuming she was rather astute and would notice the difference in the reflected moon in the water in her first 'lap' through the bridge, it would probably still be a good hour or so before she made it out.
Feeling a little bored, Di Tou prepared to get up and stretch and take a look around when he suddenly had a thought. The fragrance of the tea from earlier had provoked his appetite, but in the end he hadn't gotten a single sip of tea and had thrown it all into the reflecting pool, even the accompanying pastries had been given to Hu Da Li. Having not eaten in a long time, Di Tou was somewhat used to it now, but seeing as there was a great foodie before him, Di Tou suddenly had the desire to eat something.
