The dish Hu Da Li pulled out was indeed rather peculiar. It was a bunch of bull tounges that had been parboiled before being stir-fried with a unique pepper that Di Tou had never tried before and a sauce made from a fruit he had never tried before! Although these things didn't feel like they exactly complimented each other, the delicate and slightly sweet taste of the fruit sauce paired exceptionally well with the mild spice of the pepper which was also somewhat sweet and crisp with each bite. Adding in the beef tongue's unique texture and the fact that the dish was cooked in a way that the flavor would burst out of the beef tongue instead of coating it…
It was indeed rather delightful!
