Chapter 8 - First Day With Mr Annoying

Y/N POV

"Hello?" I answered the call, my voice quiet.

Kayden sighed on the other end. "Are you really going there?"

I hesitated for a moment before replying, "I have to, Kayden."

There was a brief silence before he spoke again. "Okay... I won't stop you. But please, if anything happens, call me right away. Promise me, Y/N."

His concern made my chest feel a little heavy, but I forced a small smile, even though he couldn't see it. "Y-yes, I promise."

Kayden hesitated again, his voice softer this time. "…And please, stay safe, Y/N."

I let out a small laugh, trying to lighten the mood. "Don't worry, Kayden. He's not going to hurt me."

"You don't know that," he muttered, his voice barely above a whisper.

I bit my lip, knowing he had a point, but I had already made up my mind. "I'll be fine," I assured him. "Okay, I have to go now."

Kayden exhaled heavily. "Alright... Bye, Y/N."

"Bye, Kayden," I whispered before hanging up.

As soon as the call ended, I let out a deep breath, staring at the ceiling for a few moments. My mind was racing, but exhaustion soon took over, and I closed my eyes, letting sleep pull me under.

After a few hours, I woke up and lazily reached for my phone. My eyes widened slightly when I saw the time—I only had an hour to get ready. Letting out a sigh, I forced myself to sit up, rubbing the sleep from my eyes before dragging myself to the bathroom.

I went through my morning routine, moving slowly, still feeling tired. I wasn't in the mood to eat anything, so I skipped breakfast. Instead, I changed into a pair of black jeans and a gray hoodie, keeping it simple. I tied my hair up into a high ponytail, slipped on my shoes, and grabbed my things before heading outside.

Emma wasn't home, so I had to lock the door behind me. As soon as I turned around, I noticed a familiar car parked outside, waiting for me.

I hesitated for a moment, then glanced at the driver's seat. It was the same man who had dropped me off that day.

When he saw me, he smiled.

"Good morning, miss," the man greeted me with a polite smile.

I nodded and returned the smile. "Good morning."

He stepped forward and opened the car door for me. I slid inside, settling into the seat as he closed the door behind me.

The ride was quiet, the hum of the engine filling the silence. I stared out the window, watching the city fade into quieter roads. After about forty-five minutes of driving, the car finally slowed down in front of an old house.

I frowned, glancing around. The place looked worn yet familiar in a strange way.

"Where are we?" I asked, turning to the driver.

He glanced at me through the rearview mirror before responding. "This is where sir grew up. They come here when they're feeling sad or need time to think."

I furrowed my brows, my curiosity growing. "But why am I here?"

The man simply shrugged. "I don't know. Maybe they want to show you something."

I let out a quiet sigh and unbuckled my seatbelt. Pushing the car door open, I stepped out, the cool air brushing against my skin. My eyes lingered on the house for a moment before I took a deep breath and walked toward the entrance

When I pressed the doorbell, the door swung open almost immediately. Mr. Annoying stood there, leaning against the doorframe with his usual smirk.

Mr. Annoying: "You're here. I was waiting for you."

I narrowed my eyes but nodded. "Why am I here?"

He chuckled, stepping aside and motioning for me to enter. "Well, let's talk inside."

I hesitated for a moment before stepping in. The familiar scent of his cologne mixed with the faint smell of coffee lingered in the air. He led me to the living area and casually dropped onto the couch, stretching his arms across the backrest like he owned the place—which, of course, he did.

Meanwhile, I remained standing, crossing my arms as I eyed him suspiciously. "Well?" I prompted. "Talk."

He tilted his head, his smirk never fading. "Why so impatient? Sit down first."

"Now tell me," I demanded, narrowing my eyes.

Mr. Annoying smirked, clearly enjoying my confusion. "Actually, the thing is… I'm your boyfriend now, and we have to spend some time together."

I blinked. "A—But—I have to work!" I stammered, trying to process his words.

His smirk deepened. "Come here. Sit." He patted the couch beside him, but when I didn't move, he sighed and stood up.

Walking over to a nearby drawer, he pulled out a piece of paper and handed it to me. "Here. Read this. You'll understand why you're here."

I hesitated before taking the paper from him, my heart pounding as I glanced down at the words written on it.

RULES THAT Y/N KNIGHT MUST FOLLOW

There is no backing out for the following reasons:

I, Y/N Knight, agree to follow these rules. If I fail to do so, Coel Walker has the right to take any action against me, and I, Y/N Knight, cannot oppose it.

The rules are as follows:

1. Y/N Knight must meet Coel Walker every day at the time and place of his choosing.

2. Y/N Knight must smile and hug Coel Walker upon meeting him.

3. Y/N Knight must give Coel Walker a goodbye kiss every time they part.

4. Before the one-year mark of this agreement, Y/N Knight must become Coel Walker's girlfriend and must not enter a relationship with anyone else.

5. If Y/N Knight gets close to another man or engages in any intimate actions with someone else, Coel Walker has the right to take action.

6. If Y/N Knight wants to talk to any other man, she must first get permission from Coel Walker.

7. Y/N Knight must answer Coel Walker's calls and messages immediately, no matter the time.

8. Y/N Knight cannot ignore or avoid Coel Walker for any reason.

9. Y/N Knight must accompany Coel Walker to any event, party, or meeting if he requests it.

10. Y/N Knight cannot leave town without informing Coel Walker and getting his approval.

11. Y/N Knight must celebrate important occasions like birthdays and anniversaries with Coel Walker.

12. Y/N Knight must wear whatever Coel Walker chooses when they are together.

13. Y/N Knight must never lie to Coel Walker about anything.

14. Y/N Knight must keep this contract a secret from everyone.

I stared at him, my hands gripping the paper tightly as anger boiled inside me. "What is this?!" I demanded, my voice sharp.

He smirked, unfazed, and casually walked toward me.

Mr. Annoying: "This is the agreement. And guess what? You already signed it. Now, be a good girl and give me a smile and a hug."

I took a step back, my heart pounding. "How can you do this to me?!"

He tilted his head, amusement dancing in his eyes. "Oh well," he shrugged, "I already did."
