Chapter 18 - Chpater 17 - That Easy

[Zyleth's POV]

Broly and I walked out of my room, my mother having called us for dinner just a moment ago. I saw Raditz already sitting down at the dining table, his demeanor a lot less confrontational than before, but I don't get my hopes up.

"Father out late training again?" I asked my mother as I sat down.

"He said he'll be back soon." Gine said as she grabs another seat from the storage closet and places it in the spot next to me, giving Broly a soft smile, "Here, sweetie, have a seat."

Broly climbs into the seat, which surprisingly doesn't seem to cause Raditz any visible irritation. I raise an eyebrow, but ultimately decide ignore it. If he blows up at dinner, it's mother he'll have to worry about, not me.

Gine goes and grabs juice out of the fridge before walking back over, placing it on the table in front of Broly, "Here you go."

"Thank you..." Broly muttered softly, his cheeks glowing red as he reached for the juice and took a sip.

It's still so bizarre to see the Legendary Super Saiyan being so gentle with a glass of juice, especially since I grew up with the demonic, genocidal psychopath of him known as Z Broly...

Fucking Z Broly...

If it had been that damned monster, I wouldn't even consider saving him. I would've sent him straight into a white dwarf star myself.

Along with Paragus if he tried to stop me.

That demon can stay in the depths of the hell from which he was spawned.

"So how is your new team, Zyleth? Everyone getting along?" Gine asked before biting into a piece of meat.

"Prince is still a bit prideful, but that pretty much goes without saying. Bit of a work in progress that one..." I muttered before I also took a bite out of a big slab of meat, "But everyone works surprisingly together well. Synergy is a bit lacking, but we'll get to that later. Can't really start getting into the sparring stage until the Prince catches up to Broly's power level though."

Gine looked surprised and asked, "Really? Is the Prince's power level low?"

"Should be breaking into seven hundred by next week." I replied casually.

I heard a cough and look over towards Raditz, who looked normal enough.

Weird...

"Seven hundred? At two?" Gine asked with widened eyes, "What power level is Broly that seven hundred is too low?"

"Over a thousand." I answered.

Now, two things happened the moment that number left my lips.

One, my mother had dropped the giant piece of meat she was holding and her mouth suddenly had a difficult time remaining shut.

Two, Raditz had started choked on his food.

My mother quickly gave him a solid smack to his back, which caused the food that was stuck in his throat to shoot right back out onto his plate.

"You okay?" I asked, a small bit worried about my little brother.

He nodded his head as he coughed, trying to speak, but finding himself unable to due to said cough preventing him from doing so.

I handed him my juice, to which he picked up and proceeded to down the entire glass at a pretty impressive rate.

Between my mother's slack-jawed face and my brother's near death experience, I can't help but think that I probably said something unusual.

[General POV]

"Over a thousand?!" Gine suddenly exclaimed.

Gine couldn't even begin to wrap her head around it.

What happened to Saiyan children being born with normal power levels? It was rare for a Saiyan child to even be above a hundred. Now there were four of them that had been born right after another!

Raditz was in the five hundreds last she checked, Prince Vegeta is nearing the seven hundreds, Broly is over a thousand, and her eldest was the biggest monster out of all of them!

She doesn't even know what Zyleth's power level is, but it was surely higher than Bardock's, who was nearing eleven thousand! The reason she knew being that Bardock himself told her so after they witnessed Zyleth's fight with Nappa.

Sure, out of those four children, Raditz was the only one that hadn't been born with that kind of power, but he had pushed himself hard to try and be acknowledged by his brother.

This new generation of Saiyan children are monsters. And if Raditz goes ahead with her suggestion for him to join his brother, they were all going to be on the same team!

[Zyleth's POV]

After that small pothole, the rest of dinner went on without another incident. Bardock returned after we had all eaten, which had caused my mother to give him an earful about being punctual.

Broly and I left soon after introducing him to my father. He didn't really seem all that interested, so it was a short conversation.

Curiously enough, Raditz had offered to come with us after hearing that I was going to walk Broly back home.

"You want to come with?" I asked him.

He nodded his head with a determined gaze that I couldn't help but find amusing.

We're dropping him off at home, not dropping him into the middle of an active warzone.

"Fine, come along then." I tell him nonchalantly before I walked out the front door.

Broly immediately followed after me and Raditz just stood there with a befuddled expression at how easily I let him come along.

"Y'know, if you keep standing there like that, they're going to leave you behind." I hear my father tell Raditz as he sat down to eat.

Hearing his words, Raditz quickly ran out of the house to catch up with us.

The walk to Broly's home wasn't all that eventful. I noticed that earlier tension that the two had when they first met was almost completely gone and replaced by an awkward silence.

I don't know what happened between the time of their first meeting and now, but I'm not gonna complain about it.

I'd rather have awkward silence than headache inducing arguing.

As soon as we were within eyesight of Broly's house, he gave us his farewells before running along inside.

"He's strange..." Raditz says to me.

Or he just didn't want to deal with the awkward situation anymore...

"Come on, let's go back home." I said as I started walking back.

"Wait." Raditz called out.

I turned to look at him and see him looking at me with that same determined expression he had on a few moments ago back in the house.

"Why did you never train me?" He asked.

I raise an eyebrow at the question, wondering where this question came from before replying with, "You never asked."

He just looks at me for a few seconds before taking a few steps towards me.

"I'm asking now. Train me!" He exclaimed.

Looking at him closely, I see that he was shaking a little. Almost as if he's afraid of what my reaction would be to his request.

"Sure." I said simply before walking off towards our house, "Get some sleep. I'm gonna be waking you up first thing in the morning."

Raditz froze, standing there with a guffawed expression, unable to believe that it was that simple.

"Wait!" He called out to me.

I turned and looked at him with furrowed eyebrows, "What?"

"It... It was... that easy?" He asked after a moment.

I smirk a bit at him. Did the little shit really think I was going reject him?

"Yeah, that easy." I nodded.
