Chapter 1 - Chapter 1: Back to the year it all began

Gojo Satoru had long known he could travel back in time.

At seven, he tested his ability by stepping in front of a car, rewinding time by five seconds. At seventeen, after being gravely injured by Fushiguro Shiori, he reversed ten seconds and discovered his Reversed Cursed Technique. But it was during his battle with Sukuna that he realized—everything needed to start over.

A blinding light made him squint. It had been a long time since he viewed the world with unobstructed eyes.

When he sat up, he found himself in his old room at the Gojo estate in Kyoto. Everything was pristine, untouched by blood or battle. He cautiously walked to the mirror. The reflection staring back at him had clear, sky-blue eyes—no blindfold, no sunglasses. His face was softer, still carrying traces of youth.

Then came a knock at the door.

"Master Gojo, today is your reporting day at Tokyo Jujutsu High."

Reporting day?

He pulled out his phone. August 30, 2005.

He really had gone back—before everything started. There was still time to change things.

"Master!" The voice outside grew impatient. "The high-speed train to Tokyo is leaving soon—"

Before they could finish, Gojo grabbed his sunglasses and swung the door open.

"Yeah, yeah, I know. When have I ever been late?"

In the end, he was still late.

Adjusting to his sixteen-year-old body, one that hadn't yet mastered teleportation, was inconvenient. He ignored the Gojo family's objections and boarded the train alone.

Last time, at sixteen, he didn't care what they thought. At twenty-nine, he cared even less.

By the time he arrived at Jujutsu High, orientation was over. Since he had already missed it, he figured he might as well buy some souvenirs—mostly sweets for Geto and Shoko, and a pack of cigarettes for Shoko. He even considered getting something for Yaga—no, Teacher Yaga, at this point in time.

Half an hour later, with bags full of strawberry daifuku and a box of cigarettes, he kicked open the classroom door.

Familiar faces greeted him.

Yaga Masamichi looked as intimidating as ever, clutching his usual ugly green puppet. Ieiri Shoko, with short hair and sharp eyes, sized him up.

But someone was missing.

Geto Suguru—always the model student—wasn't here.

That wasn't normal.

Gojo frowned. "Where's Geto? Why is he late?"

Yaga's expression didn't change. "Take your seat, Gojo. As for Geto Suguru… he doesn't exist. This year, Jujutsu High has only two students—you and Ieiri Shoko."

What?

Gojo's fingers twitched as he sat down.

Time travel always came with inconsistencies. When he rewound before, small things changed—a knife aimed at his head shifted slightly, still fatal but different.

But this? This was too big.

In the following weeks, he searched everywhere. He used the Six Eyes to scour Tokyo, even visited Geto's home. Nothing.

Yet that wasn't the only thing that had changed.

Besides cursed spirits, there was something new—creatures called "Hollows," evil entities that devoured human souls. They could be exorcised with cursed energy, but their existence was something he had never encountered before.

Time passed.

By his second year, he had already mastered "Azure" and "Reversal: Red" and had begun laying the foundation for Domain Expansion—far earlier than in his original timeline.

"Gojo, it's time for first-years to report. As their senior, don't be late meeting them at the station."

Yaga's words made Gojo groan.

He adjusted his sunglasses. "There's another second-year, right? Why do I have to do it?"

"Because she's a girl, and she has a rare Reversed Cursed Technique. Do you expect her to carry the new students' luggage?"

Yaga tossed him a list and walked off before Gojo could argue.

He glanced at the names: Nanami Kento, Haibara Yu.

A small smile tugged at his lips. Nanami, huh? Long time no see.

At Shinjuku Station, he perched lazily on a railing, scanning the crowd for Nanami's blond hair.

Then something caught his eye.

A familiar figure, dressed in black, carrying a large bag, emerged from the crowd.

His hair was tied into a bun, and deep purple eyes searched the station.

Gojo's breath hitched.

Geto?

Without a second thought, he jumped down from the railing—completely forgetting about the first-years he was supposed to meet.
