In silence, Danny prepared the evening meal for Tamko, while his father and his erasthai watched like they had never throughout this was ever possible.
They couldn't be blamed though, because they hadn't expected that Danny would be that protective of Tamiko even after what had happened between them. There was a lot that the two men needed to unpack but at the moment it was more than obvious that they were trying their best to interact peacefully.
That in itself was still a wonder, because if the tables had been switched and Tamiko was the one who lost in the hands of Danny, there would have been more blood than food on her. Perhaps this was them just trying to work things out, right?
"Can I—" Tamiko asked when Dannya was done cooking. He wanted to help set the table, but Danny was not even paying attention to him. As a matter of fact, he carried everything to the table himself, while the Lycans watched in worry.
