Sylvia's room was incredibly spacious, boasting a bathroom, kitchen, bedroom, and even a living room – a veritable palace compared to Fang Li's modest quarters at Butei High.
Currently, in the bedroom, Fang Li sat shirtless on the bed, a towel gently drying his damp hair.
"Who told you to just barge into the bathroom?" Sylvia chided, her tone lightly annoyed as she continued to dry his hair. "As I always say, if you find someone showering, you shouldn't just waltz in without clothes, right? Now you're stuck without a change of clothes!"
This was, after all, a girls' dormitory, specifically for the female academy. Men's clothing was simply not an option here.
Consequently, Fang Li was clad only in a pair of loose shorts, his well-toned physique, sculpted through rigorous exercise, fully exposed to the air, glistening with moisture.
Sylvia, meanwhile, was wrapped in a bath towel and nothing else. Her hair was still dripping wet.
Yet, oblivious to her own state of undress, she focused on drying Fang Li's hair.
Fang Li, accepting her ministrations with a shrug, replied, "I didn't expect you to be showering."
"Whether you expected it or not is irrelevant; the fact remains that you barged in," Sylvia retorted, her purple eyes twinkling with amusement as they swept over his body. "Don't tell me you didn't know I was in there; I wouldn't believe you."
"I just wanted to surprise you," Fang Li said, a playful smile gracing his lips. "But it seems I ended up surprising myself instead."
"...Idiot," Sylvia muttered, a charming blush creeping up her neck. "Even if you wanted to surprise me, there was no need to break into the academy. This 'surprise' is more like a shock. If anyone finds out, you'll be in serious trouble."
This was no idle threat.
Queenvail Academy had the means to make his life a living hell.
Of course, they wouldn't kill him. But they could easily ruin his reputation.
This was, after all, a sanctuary for idols, a place countless individuals yearned to glimpse. An uninvited male guest would be considered a grave social transgression.
From a purely logical standpoint, as an institution under the Integrated Enterprise Foundation, the academy held numerous secrets, including research on Lux, Ogre Lux, and even the cutting-edge technology of Star Engineering.
If word got out about Fang Li's intrusion, he could easily be falsely accused of espionage, a claim he would be hard-pressed to refute.
This was a situation any sensible person would avoid.
Fang Li was no fool. He prided himself on his calm analytical mind and keen observation skills, and he fully understood the gravity of the situation.
Yet, he remained nonchalant. "As long as I'm not caught, it's fine, right?"
It sounded logical, but it was a dangerously flawed line of reasoning.
"I truly can't believe you," Sylvia sighed, feigning exasperation. Then, a mischievous glint entered her eyes. "Since you weren't caught, did you perhaps take the opportunity to explore elsewhere?"
Her smile was captivating, but Fang Li knew that if he admitted to wandering, that charming facade would instantly crumble.
Though fearless in the face of danger, Fang Li felt a pang of unease.
He chuckled nervously, raising his hands in mock surrender. "Even if I wanted to, I wouldn't have known where to go. I barely found this place. How could I possibly explore?"
This was the truth.
Sylvia sighed, "Don't do this again. It's far too dangerous. If you're caught, even I won't be able to help you."
After finishing drying his body, she added, "I can't find any clothes for you here, so just wrap yourself in the sheets for now. I've hung your clothes to dry; they should be ready soon." She turned to leave, then paused. "Don't go running around again, okay?"
Just as she was about to step away, she felt a strong hand pull her back.
"Ah..."
Sylvia gasped instinctively.
Before she could react, she found herself pulled onto the bed, lying beneath him.
Fang Li's face loomed over her, his eyes fixed on her captivating features, the envy of countless fans worldwide. He gently flicked her forehead.
"Just so you know, I didn't intentionally cut off contact," he said. "You'll understand soon that it's virtually impossible for me to communicate with anyone from my side."
"...That sounds like a typical excuse men use," Sylvia retorted, rubbing her forehead where he had flicked her. Her eyes met his, and she puffed out her cheeks. "You don't think I'm that easily swayed, do you?"
"A world-class diva, a top idol – no one would dare call you easily swayed," Fang Li chuckled. "But to me, you're just Sylvia."
His words seemed to charm her, and a soft smile played on her lips.
It was a smile that could melt hearts.
Fang Li couldn't help but feel his own heart quicken.
After all, this world-class diva was currently clad only in a bath towel!
He had to admit, the temptation was undeniable.
And Sylvia seemed to sense his mischievous thoughts.
"Don't even think about it!" She said playfully.
"I have a concert tomorrow. If anything happens, you'll be in serious trouble."
His lips twitched. "You always use that excuse," he said, feeling a touch of helplessness. "Alright, alright, who told you to be the biggest?"
Sylvia countered immediately.
"Not quite!"
Leaning in, she lightly kissed him on the lips. Then, with a playful smile, she whispered, "To me, you're the biggest one."
Her words, coupled with that enchanting smile, sent a jolt through him.
All he could do was smile wryly in response.
