CHAPTER 83: SUPPORTING DREAMS
Diana met his gaze, a silent question lingering in her eyes. James, sensing her unspoken desire, reached out and cupped her cheek. "Are you alright?" he asked softly.
She nodded, then surprised them both by leaning in and pressing a hesitant kiss to his lips. It started shyly, a tentative exploration, a whisper of touch.
But as James's mouth met hers, a spark ignited. Her initial shyness melted away, replaced by a newfound boldness. Just as she deepened the kiss, James took the lead, pulling her close and deepening the contact. A low moan escaped Diana's lips as she melted into him and kissed him back with a newfound fervor.
Suddenly, James pulled away, his breath ragged. He looked into her eyes, his gaze searching hers. "What do you want, Diana?" he asked, his voice husky.
She met his gaze unflinchingly, her lips parting slightly. "You, James," she whispered, her voice laced with desire. "I want you."
A slow smile spread across James's face. He leaned down again, his lips brushing against her ear. "Then you shall have me, always," he murmured, his voice a low rumble against her skin.
His touch gentle, as he tucked a strand of hair behind her ear and kissed her longingly.
The night unfolded in a flurry of whispered endearments, passionate embraces and a slow dance of intimacy. It wasn't about raw passion, but a deeper connection, a rediscovery of each other. They explored each other's bodies with a newfound tenderness, their touches filled with love and understanding.
Later, showered and clean, they lay curled up together. James was captivated as Diana spoke of her dreams – her love for reading, singing and writing, her secret passion for acting. He learned about her ambitions, the fire that burned bright in her eyes.
He realized this woman wasn't just his wife, she was a force to be reckoned with, and he admired her all the more for it.
"I'll support you in anything you set your mind to, Diana," he murmured, tracing patterns on her arm.
She turned to face him, a grateful smile gracing her lips. "Thank you, James. That means the world to me."
In that quiet moment, they weren't just husband and wife, but partners, confidantes, ready to face whatever the future held, together.
