"I can stay?" Sarell asked when they got to the main room, standing at the center of the room with Velia. "What about Prince Reqiel?"
Velia placed his hands on his waist to pull him closer, leaning close. "I'm almost hurt by that."
Sarell looked away, incredibly self-conscious. "I-I'm still Prince Reqiel's personal attendant."
"Don't worry about that, I'll deal with everything."
Sarell looked up at him with glassy eyes, feeling like his heart would implode from happiness. That happiness was tainted by worry, "Are you sure you'll be okay?"
He closed his eyes when Velia leaned forward to press a kiss into his hair, he had settled into the life he was living with Reqiel, he had even gotten the chance to work something out with Velia and he was content. But then so much happened so fast, and it made him realize that he was really greedy. He wanted his family but he also wanted Reqiel and he wanted Velia…
