More and more seige shields and more and more people went through the array, adding to the already intimidating sea of enemies Alterra was going against.
However, not once had Alterrans faltered. While many admittedly did show some heart towards the enemy elementalists, it was not enough to put their lives in danger.
The cannons continued to fire, the sentries continued to pierce, the arrows continued to rain, and elements continued to fly.
Every second, dozens of enemies would be hit. Even if they didn't die, their companions were unlikely to help them out, ultimately leaving them to their deaths.
Their focus was one thing: To get through the walls, no matter what. For slaves, it was an order; for others, it was for survival.
After all, there were a lot more hiding places within the territory walls and, to win the war, the defense was more likely to focus on keeping the people outside rather than hunting down those who had already gotten inside.
