Kevin was so surprise he rose from his seat and almost stumbled.
Ace was also stunned. But he did not have the same reaction as Kevin. He was still sitting in his chair, looking so pale as if he'd seen a ghost.
Kevin's sudden action garnered stares from the other guests on different table. Kevin cough awkwardly before straightening his collar and sitting down again.
[Where are you, Lawrence? Can you describe your surroundings to me?]
It took a few minutes before another reply came.
[An empty village.]
[I woke up in a small rundown house and men in black coveralls suddenly broke in and tried to kill me. I managed to escape but they are still after me.]
[I'm in a deep forest.]
[Are you alright? Are you hurt? Did they get you?]
Kevin's worry was evident as he bombarded Lawrence with questions after questions. His concern made Lawrence chuckle.
[I'm fine.]
