Quinn Powell had gleaned information about the Mamet family, Caleb Mamet was a man of indifference, but he was completely filial to Madam Mamet. Given Caleb's status at present, he had only one grandmother, but he could have many wives. There was no need for him to sever ties with his own grandmother for the sake of Xaviera Evans.
Once Xaviera was without Caleb's protection, she would be like a drowned dog, pounced upon and kicked by everyone.
