Chapter 74 - Issue #6

The group ended up chatting for the entire night. Many moments from this conversation were memorable, like when Diana finally reached the part where she discovered that Inmo knew about other realities.

Diana nudged Inmo as she remembered, "You said you didn't know who I was when we first met."

Inmo stood still as his mind raced, forming different theories. Gears turned in his mind, trying to grasp what would come next. Unfortunately, when his brain worked so quickly, the most obvious things tended to slip away.

"What are all these different Dianas in cartoons and movies, even in miniatures?" Diana had truly immersed herself in the empire's entertainment, becoming a collector.

Finally, things clicked in Inmo's mind. It had been so long since he created these stories; everything was very normal to him. He hadn't thought about the fact that at some point, people he portrayed in popular media would see what he created.

For the first time since he arrived in this world, his face began to warm, turning a bit red. It had been a long time since he felt this, shame in its purest form. But it didn't last long; he sighed and composed himself.

"Well, I had a lot of free time for that."

"You know that's not what I asked," Diana quickly continued the conversation, realizing Inmo wouldn't elaborate. He seemed intent on ending the discussion with those words.

"I always had visions of other realities. I don't remember when it started, but I decided to share them with others. I'm sorry if I offended you," Inmo chose to be somewhat honest with Diana; now he couldn't undo what he had done.

Actually, he could, but it would create more problems than solutions. The answer isn't always changing the past; you have to learn to live with it and move forward.

"Well, it's not that big a deal. I've already forgiven you, but you owe me one," Diana, sensing Inmo genuinely felt bad, decided not to continue blaming him.

Seeing this, Inmo smiled a bit, returning to his mystical air, his aura calm as a lake and deep as the sea.

"It was really a surprise to meet you that day. You know, after what happened with Zeus, I thought things wouldn't unfold like in those worlds. One of them was you." For the first time, Inmo could talk to Diana about this kind of thing; he liked that feeling.

"So, you weren't happy to see me?" Diana teased after realizing it wasn't an issue for Inmo to talk about it. "Or did you want another Wonder Woman?" Now even Diana's face was a bit red after realizing what she had said.

Inmo, realizing the playful tone, decided to continue the conversation. He placed his right hand on his chin, pretending to think deeply, and said, "You know that Wonder Woman with white hair and a white outfit? Well..."

Diana seemed to have become slightly annoyed upon hearing this. Inmo laughed and approached her, giving her a hug. "Of course, you're the best version that exists."

Diana wanted to push Inmo away but gave up and enjoyed the hug, an act that started recently but seemed to have become a habit.

"In the world I was in, there was a Wonder Woman."

"And what kind was she?"

"Well, have you seen Flashpoint?"

"You mean you met that crazy one who enslaved half of Europe?" Diana was astonished by the coincidence; one of the versions she liked the least was, in fact, the first one Inmo met outside of this reality.

"What did you do with her?" Diana looked at Inmo with an accusing gaze, as if he had done something wrong.

"Hey, no need to look at me like that; I didn't do anything," Inmo tried, but it seemed Diana wasn't buying it. So he continued, "Look, you don't have to worry; in the end, Flash did his time-travel magic."

Diana didn't dwell on the subject. After that, they ended up talking about how it was in that other dimension and everything that happened there. Inmo omitted some things, and in the end, they spent the entire night discussing it.

The next day, Inmo prepared to check on the researchers, pondering the future of the empire.

In the morning, Franky was already by his master's side to accompany him. As he had all the information about the empire, he was the perfect guide for Inmo.

"Master, this is the research on human biology." Inmo wanted his first stop to be here for some reason.

"In this part, we have research on disease cures, and on this side, we have life preservation research, like reducing cell aging. You know we've changed the original population's life expectancy from 100 years to 350 years."

Franky didn't stop as he walked through the laboratories. Whenever he passed through a door, one of the scientists who was there would come out to accompany them; they were responsible for each research group.

"And here, we have a somewhat unconventional section. We're trying to merge biological and technological aspects. We're optimistic that this will be the path to the future."

Inmo raised an eyebrow, appearing to have become interested in the research. Transforming humans into machines could be a promising path, but it might also end up limiting them over time.

Inmo wanted to start with the biological aspect for a simple reason. With his latest adventure, his divine powers reached a new level. Since humanity was part of his domain, he gained a new understanding of human biology.

For a long time, he could transform humans into beings that wouldn't age over time, but he would have to use his divine power. Now, he could use science to achieve a similar effect.

So his next step would be to assist these researchers in finding a cure for aging.
