Chapter 332 - Chapter 332: Ophanim, Part 1

Arthur wasted no time in closing the gap, his speed and strength far exceeding anything Zazel has ever seen before. His face gets immediately grabbed by the molten salt-like hand, dragged across the damaged halls, lifted upwards and slammed into the floor again and again, ping-ponging him at the walls to scrape off his body further, the burns sinking into his muscles, before pinning the boy into a pillar and sinking such contents in him, piercing through his anatomy, relishing the screams of anguish the demon gave as he tried to push away the hand. Despite such heavy damage left on him, a small signal would allow Zazel to retrieve and have Sabnock fire back with a cannon, blowing up such an extended slime-like appendage, letting it close in and rock him with a metallic hook, striking him into a separate pillar. Arthur would be forced to shift his concentration, having him stretch his legs to go above the metallic monstrosity, shaping his hands into drills, before firing them straight into its head, aiming for any vital components to bore and rip out of its frame. Zazel, however, quickly had it retreat and revert back to its sigil, summoning a new one in its place to fire again.

KA-BOOM!!!

Even when his body is in such an extreme condition, even when his energy is getting into its lowest, he sets up another sigil to fight back again, grabbing ahold of Sabnock by the cannons, holding on tight, as he'd empower it with Gaap, strengthening the metal and wiring with Anthropocentrism, the philosophy of being superior to other beings. Its frame and build started to shift into a traditional humanoid appearance, making them behave like a cyborg, granting faster speed and reflexes than its usual, bulky state. It quickly charged forward, the barrels shaping to machine guns, firing in spurts, attempting to push Arthur back with the wave of bullets. The Hunter, however, would instead open his hands and let the sludge swallow such steel, shooting them back in its own sea through his ring of eyes and the arms, shaping them as sniper barrels to get a cleaner shot. Sabnock would try to duck and slide across the area to dodge the projectiles, but Arthur would catch him by shaping such arms into spikes, jutting them downwards to pin him and splay such wounds wide open, oil leaking out of every crevice, sparks flying and a fire beginning to burn once they connected. Zazel would try to set up Asmodeus as a response, lighting the oil and watching the machine combust, exploding right in front of the Hunter.

KA-BOOM!!!!

Despite the destruction, Arthur simply brushes it off and charged forward at the Demon, showcasing that, while such a wound was indeed made, it only took a second to regenerate it, small sprinkles of salt showcasing that his entire body must've been changed in some manner, assuming it was during the transformation itself. Zazel would try to set up two sigils, one of Eligos to be sent outwards, and one of Stolas to create another star, yet Arthur would respond by having his hands envelop and capture the star itself, reaching its melting point once more. At first, Zazel was confused as to why he was willing to damage himself, but all he needed to see was his wide grin as the star glowed brighter and brighter, light preparing to seep through his hands. "Checkmate..." He'd bellowed, as he'd have it refract and reflect off of its surfaces.

A Stream of lights, a disco ball of radiance, all of which hits everywhere at once, searching and hoping to cleave the demon's body. Zazel would try his best to duck, dodge, weave, and jump over such beams as they tried to reach him, using his training back in Synoni to keep his momentum going, while setting up Sabnock to bring out the M72 LAW and blow up Arthur's arms, carving a path across the area, the light bending away from the demon, as he'd try to charge forward. Despite such damage, repairing it was as simple as breathing, due to his hands being still liquid, extending in a way that flings himself upwards and creates a cage around the demon, the Star still empowering it, forcing him to go even faster if he wishes to stay alive. Despite a few nicking at his legs and face, Zazel wouldn't let up his momentum, using Ronove on the floor to mimic a large, piercing screech, covering his own ears as the sound bounced off of the malleable slime, a massive echo that would rupture the arm and free him from such a cage, letting him scale up and deliver a clean kick against Arthur's face, burning his feet and legs as a response. As he sent such a kick, he would be horrified as he'd feel a soft texture out from his body, watching his face break, then reform as if nothing happened.

It was if he physically made his body into salt itself.

All Arthur did was smile as he'd launch a headbutt to the Demon, hurling him across the hall, repairing his hands, and approach him. "Now where exactly did your confidence go? You were talking strong, weren't you? Why are you so scared now? It's just one person, after all." He'd taunt, knowing full well that the situation took a drastic turn against the Demon. All Zazel did, even after being critically low on such energy, as well as having half of his body damaged by the salt, was to stand up, burn off the white mineral off of him, and take a stance. "Ahh, a foot in the grave, and yet you still wish to fight me. I can feel the desperation off of your body. I can taste it, even. I wasn't kidding when I said I'm curious how blasphemous blood tastes..."

"Aren't you supposed to NOT be a walking abomination before god!? Why did you discard your humanity like that??" Zazel would question, trying to find a reason behind such a change.

"I'm going to lose, aren't I? At least, that's what it looks like to me. I want to make sure, even if I die, that I leave a good impression in you. That I scar that little head of yours any time you think about the Lord and his Men. I will make sure you NEVER forget this hell zone you made for yourself." His response was like chill winds, making the demon unknowingly shiver.
