As the team returned back to the academy's research lab it was like stepping into the future. Every inch of it glowed with high tech advanced technolog, holographic displays floating in midair, mechanical constructs whirring softly as they moved, and massive containment units filled with unknown glowing energy.
"Dude, this place is insane," Tetsuo muttered, running his fingers over a sleek metal console. "I feel like I'm inside a sci-fi film."
Yori smirked. "Careful. You might break something just by looking at it too hard."
Matthew, as usual, was all business. His sharp eyes scanned the room, analyzing every detail like he was studying the battlefield. "There's technology here that shouldn't exist not on Earth, anyway. We figured that out Fifty Years ago."
Walking around the technology and machinery, Mikael would see a floating metallic sphere, pulsing faintly with blue neon light, sitting on a pedestal at the far end of the lab.
Something about it called to him, Mikael stepped toward the sphere, his fingers twitching with an unexplainable urge to touch it.
"That," a scientist spoke up, noticing me staring, "is a complete mystery. We don't know where it came from. Our scans can't even identify what it's made of."
Another scientist chimed in. "We found it in a crash site outside the city. This thing is beyond human science as much we know. It's like… something out of this world." That phrase sent a chill down his spine. Without thinking, Mikael reached out. The moment his fingertips grazed the surface, the sphere ignited.
A brilliant blue neon light exploded outward, flooding Mikael vision. He felt something deep within me snap open like a locked door inside my mind being violently kicked down.
As Mikael remembers The Obsidian Sovereignty, led by the ruthless tyrant, Supremus Their darkened forms tore through the fabric of space itself, bending and shattering existence at will. He works with the other side who tried fighting back, but it wasn't enough. Mikael remembers his mentor and his friends before the light fades away.
He collapsed to the floor, my breath ragged, my mind racing as the blue neon glow faded, remembering everything.
Tetsuo was at my side instantly. "Mikael! You alright?"
Yori's eyes widened. "Your body, your energy, and attitude seems completely different."
Matthew didn't say anything. He just stared. He knew something big had just changed inside him, but what?
Mikael took a slow breath, then stood up. His hands trembled from fear to excitement.
"I'm feeling more than alright," Mikael said, his voice has a excitement tone. "Who I am. Where I come from. I remember everything. "
They waited. He couldn't tell them everything. Not yet. But He had to tell them something.
"Oh..yea umm, I'm not human," He admitted. "I never was and I remember my abilities."
Tetsuo blinked. "...Okay. ...Yeah. That's a hell of a bombshell. You're not okay"
Matthew crossed his arms. "Explain."
He hesitated. The words felt heavy, like saying them out loud would change everything.
"I'm an Kaethorion," hefinally said. "My people… well are kinda going up against each other. They were wiped out by a faction called the Obsidian Sovereignty . I was sent here to survive and help regroup." Then Yori asked the question Mikael dreaded. "Does Master Arashi know?"
I shook my head. "No. And I don't want anyone else to know either."
Tetsuo frowned. "Mikael...why not?"
"I mean it," Mikael cut him off. "This isn't just about me. If the wrong people find out, it could put a bunch of you in danger."
Matthew studied me, his expression unreadable. "You're saying we need to keep this secret?"
Mikael nodded. "At least for now."
Yori sighed, rubbing her temples. "You realize how insane this sounds, right?"
Tetsuo exhaled. "Man… I don't know what's crazier the fact that you're an alien, or the fact that you're changing as a whole."
Mikael smirked. "I prefer 'Kaethorion' over alien."
That got a small chuckle out of them, but the weight of hid words still lingered.
They had his back. He could tell. But he also knew that hiding this secret… wouldn't last forever.
And worse if Mikael memories had returned, that meant his enemies knew he was alive.
