Old Master Black's complaints were suddenly cut short by James Black's driving speed, and after a while, he cursed, "Needs a good talking-to!"
About 20 minutes after James Black had left, Aunt called for lunch. Old Master Black didn't wait for James and went upstairs to call Jane Sampson back from her room.
At the doorway, seeing Jane's mobile phone lying by the room door, Old Master Black, ever sharp, guessed right away that the couple must have had a fight.
So, was James Black, who had rushed out just now to buy some stuff and come back, actually trying to find a way to coax his wife?
"Jane, come out for lunch," Old Master Black knocked on the door, "James isn't home, he went out. You can stay mad at him, but we still need to eat. After lunch, you can continue being mad in your room. If you are still upset by the evening, you can have him sleep in the guest room, or even in the study."
