Fang Mei found herself completely isolated from everything she had ever known. She was cut off from her past, and her future was severed. She could neither feel the heavens, and the earths were far from her. She was all alone in this great, big world. She looked around, and all she found was unending darkness. This was all there was, and all there would ever be. Nothing could ever change this fact.
She felt as though she were the first being to emerge from the chaos and also the last. For all time, she would be the only one—but this was if the concept of time even existed. She began panicking. Even though her Dao Heart was powerful and not to be looked down upon, this situation was beyond what a social creature such as the human could accept. To accept that she was all alone was eating away at her soul.
