Chapter 9 - Fight

Aito was excited to bring back lunch for Junan from the canteen. He rushed to finish his meal.

What he expected was to see his deskmate sleeping in an empty classroom. All he saw was an empty classroom, without his deskmate's bag.

The lunch bag he brought was slightly sagging, looking betrayed. Aito languidly sat back in his chair. It was certain that Junan would not return to class.

The opportunity to just say a few words had faded. "Host, there's still tomorrow! Don't give up so quickly!" The little bee doll seemed to circle his head comfortingly.

Aito exhaled slowly, the sandwich and peach juice went back into his school bag. Just because he had been accepted, it turned out that the future would not be as easy as Aito thought.

Hearing his teacher's explanation made him even less enthusiastic. Chemistry was difficult, the periodic table in front of him was like letters not a language he knew, Hydrogen, Helium, Potassium ....

His head seemed to be spinning and his eyes were heavy seeing the white chalk covering the blackboard. "System, this is hard."

"..."

That's right, even now the system is silent. It's too much! He suffered having to deal with the alienated protagonist and also improve his grades.

Not long after, the bell signaling the end of all activities rang throughout the school. The teacher's explanation in front of him stopped, all the children were secretly relieved, preparing to leave the classroom.

Aito was one of them, he hurriedly tidied up his stationery. Just as the teacher left the classroom, he followed.

His hasty steps accidentally bumped into someone else. He was really careless. "Sorry-sorry, I didn't mean to-"

His words stopped when he looked up to see who the figure was in front of him. Akibara Hiro was standing in front of him with a smile.

Although the whispers of the crowd were captivated by that smile that never faded. Aito swallowed hard, feeling why did he always come into contact with the antagonist? He still wanted to live safely.

Aito bowed several times before leaving the classroom in a hurry. He just wanted to get away from Akibara Hiro quickly.

The thinner his presence outside the protagonist, the better. Although he doubted he could maintain it if he made Junan his friend.

The main object is always the center of attention, including problems. Sigh, this life is not easy, Aito thought.

His unsteady steps walked towards the house. The place where he lived might be one of the things that did not burden Aito being in another world, although it also made him feel guilty.

Before he got home, an alley he passed seemed noisy. He heard right! This was a fight.

His neck shrank, wanting to run. However, his feet were stuck in place as if forced by something. His curiosity haunted him, giving Aito the courage to peek inside.

One figure was standing in the middle and two people were lying on the ground. While there were still five other people surrounding him.

Aito's mouth gaped, this was a mob attack! It was really unfair. Before he could do anything, Aito realized who the figure was in the middle of the crowd.

Junan!

A flying punch was about to hit his cheek, but was blocked hard along with a loud fist hitting the opponent's stomach who was advancing. One on one was ineffective, three people immediately advanced together.

A rough punch was thrown which was blocked again and again before being answered with one move that made someone else fall. Not long after, everyone who had crowded around was now sitting on the ground.

Aito who witnessed it tried to close his eyes even though he stole a glance, watching the whole incident in horror. How Junan who looked silent and isolated, even looked brutal now.

His punch was merciless, precise and effective. Once everything was over, those dark eyes stared at the end of the alley.

Right with those round eyes glaring because they were staring at each other. Aito stuttered not knowing how to respond. Before Junan came closer.

He was afraid to watch Junan approach. He noticed that there was blood on his hands which made Aito even more horrified, of course it wasn't Junan's blood.

As soon as Junan came, he even passed him. With his bag slung over his shoulder, without looking at him.

"That... Maruyama-kun, are you okay?" Realizing Junan was moving away, Aito hurriedly chased after him.

Junan didn't stop even after he spoke. The little creature was so scared earlier, but out of nowhere it still followed him.

"Get out of here." Junan's warning made Aito stop following.

"But, classmate, your wound needs to be treated. Please, let's go to the clinic for a while." Before that, Aito vaguely remembered that there was a health clinic nearby.

"No need."

Before Aito could reply again, he saw two people coming towards him from afar. "Boss!!"

At a closer distance, the figures that Aito had seen entering the classroom became clear. "Damn, they're really bold! Boss, you should have told us sooner!"

"Kouto, shut up. Junan, are you okay?" One of them looked even more worried.

"Yuki!" Kouto whined.

"We have to retaliate, Boss. Eh, isn't this the little one? Why are you here?" Kouto had just realized that there were other people nearby as well as Yuki.

"Let's go," Junan said indifferently.

"Okay, wait, Boss. Little one, don't stay here too long, it's not safe!" The one called Kouto advised him before leaving with the others.

Aito couldn't even say anything. He was afraid of saying the wrong thing, but also worried about how Junan was doing.

He arrived home, greeted by Fukuda Aito's parents. They were very friendly, a simple, harmonious family. An ordinary part of society that didn't stand out, but that was what warmed Aito.

He felt like he had found his parents who were no longer there. Although he also felt guilty because he was not their real child.

"Okasan, I'm home!" Aito called out entering the house.

The short-haired woman with a pink apron was seen at the kitchen bar. Still busy with something. "Welcome, Ai! How was your day at school?"

Hearing that question, Aito winced, remembering what he had just witnessed. However, he still tried to be cheerful telling about the many fun things he had done at school.
