It was the year 2023. Joseph arrived home with his bag full of fireworks…that were most definitely all legal.
Caesar was inside trying to make their grandson, Jotaro, crack a smile. "Come on! Aren't you so excited for the fireworks?" Caesar exclaimed with a bright smile.
The 5 year old gave him a blank stare. Joseph was trying hard not to start cackling. "Daddy! Gosh, I thought a cop might have caught you with your bag full of fireworks." His adopted daughter, Holly, came running up to him and tackled him with a big hug. Although Caesar and Joseph didn't agree with the fact that she had a baby when she was 17, they still loved them both.
"Hi, sweetie," Joseph kissed her on the cheek, "And hello to you too, Mr. Jotaro."
Jotaro grunted in return. He talked as much as he smiled. Little to never.
Holly sighed, "I'm not sure how to get him talking…The therapist says to just give him time, but I feel like I'm doing something wrong…"
"It's not anybody's fault, all kids are different." Caesar said, "And Jotaro's going to talk eventually, just give him time and don't pressure him too much."
"Man, it's no wonder you came out so sweet and calm," Joseph scratched his head sheepishly, "If it were just me…well you probably wouldn't have lived so long!"
Caesar chuckled softly, knowing well that it was true. There was this one time Joseph had to make Holly a grilled cheese sandwich. So he did. But since he was occupied with something else, he told the 7 year old Holly, "Okay, I'm gonna go into the other room real quick. Just watch the sandwich and call for me if something happens, yeah?"
Holly nodded. So Joseph left her. But she felt as though the sandwich wasn't cooking, so she turned the heat up all the way. She gasped because a flame brushed against her hand. The flames went up so abnormally high, the sandwich caught on fire. "Uh oh." She ran to the other room, hoping that Joseph could fix it.
Joseph could not fix it. He ran out to the kitchen with her, yelling because the fire was slowly getting better. He filled up a cup of water and threw it on the stove. The flames burned more intensely. "Oh my God!"
He grabbed the pan off the stove and threw it in the sink. Then, he drowned the pan with the water. This time, it did subside.
Long story short, Joseph was not allowed to leave the kitchen whilst making food.

The sun was beginning to set. Holly and Jotaro were outside, waiting for the fireworks to begin. Last Fourth of July, Jotaro did not have a very good time. He was crying and did not want to leave the house due to the noise of the fireworks. So since Caesar and Joseph spoiled him, they bought him these noise canceling headphones. Now, they can watch their grandson smile at the colors and shapes of the fireworks.
Caesar and Joseph were alone in the house. They were conversing with each other. It was a shock to both of them that after 24 years of being together, they still had things to talk about. They were talking about how they were glad to be far away from all of their troubles they left in Italy.
"I love Americans sometimes," Joseph said, "When I went to go get the fireworks, there was a man who had a red, white, and blue colored ford truck. And he had two American flags on the side of the truck. And the cherry on top was that he had a sticker on the back window of the car, 'PROUD AMERICAN'. I have never seen a more patriotic person."
Caesar laughed. He laughed at all of his husband's stories. For some reason, he had a new one every day that was more absurd than the lass.
"Gosh, I love you, Joseph." Caesar said as he stood up and ruffled Joseph's hair.
Jotaro came into the room and tapped Joseph's shoulder. "Mommy…" He pointed outside. That meant that she wanted Joseph to come out. He learned how to read Jotaro's signs and could now tell them apart.

The fireworks had all begun. It was the Joestar/Zeppeli/Kujo family's time to join in. Joseph grabbed the first firework, they were going to start off strong. He picked one of the bigger fireworks. The way that they liked to set off fireworks was in the middle of the street since no cars were driving at this time.
Also, it made it harder for the police to figure out which house set off the nuclear bomb.
Joseph ran into the street with the bomb. He chuckled to himself as he was about to set it off. He lit it up and began to run back to the house. But he felt his phone fall out of his pocket next to the firework.
For some reason, it was burning quite quickly. Joseph tried to quickly pick up his phone, but it was too late. The bomb's sparks hit Joseph as it flew up. There was a huge flash of light, silence, and the loudest bang he has ever heard in his life. It set off the alarms of about 3 cars.
Joseph ran back to the house laughing. Holly decided that Caesar should set them off instead because he cares more about his skin staying unburnt than his phone.
JoJo didn't agree but just sat down with Jotaro on his lap to make his husband and daughter happy. Jotaro would make a couple of noises and "Woah"'s every now and then. But the whole night, he was softly smiling.

Holly and Jotaro stayed the night at Caesar and Joseph's. Caesar didn't like the idea of Holly driving with all of the smoke in the street.
Jotaro and Holly were sound asleep in their room, leaving the husbands alone in their room.
"So," Joseph said as he laid down next to Caesar, "This was fun, wasn't it."
"Mhm. Especially the part where you almost got burnt."
"Oh please, I wouldn't have gotten burnt."
"Mhm. Shut up and go to sleep."
Joseph whined, "Do you really want to sleep? Or do you want to do something else…"
Caesar blushed as he felt Joseph's hand run down his stomach and onto his crotch. "Absolutely not, Joseph. Our grandchild and Holly are here. You're insane."
"We'll be quiet then."
"...ugh."
Joseph chuckled to himself and began to kiss his way down Caesar's body…
