For a moment, it looked like Roode was turning the tide, but the numbers game soon caught up to Roode. Drew and Nick regrouped and overwhelmed Roode as well, with Drew grabbing Roode and slammed him into the turnbuckle, while Nick drilled him with repeated punches to the gut!
Kofi, at this time, barely able to stand, saw his opportunity. With sheer willpower, he pushed himself up and leaped onto Drew's back!
Kofi rained down forearms on Drew from his back, forcing him to let go of Roode!
The celebration for Kofi winning his match had turned into an all out BRAWL!
Drew and Kofi exchanged rapid strikes, while Nick and Roode fought on the other side of the ring!
The fans were on their feet, chanting—
"THIS IS AWESOME! THIS IS AWESOME!"
The chaos spilled outside the ring!
Drew tossed Kofi over the top rope, sending him crashing onto the floor! Meanwhile, Roode ducked a wild punch from Nick and clothesline him through the ropes!
The fight continued at the ringside, where Drew and Kofi exchanged blows near the barricade, while Nick and Roode brawled near the announcers' table!
It was pure anarchy!
Then—
"ENOUGH!"
A loud, commanding voice echoed through the arena.
Dusty Rhodes stepped out onto the stage with a microphone in his hand, accompanied by a swarm of FCW security guards.
The brawl continued for a few more moments as the security team rushed down the ramp, separating all four men who still tires to punch or kick one another. The fans booed, wanting the fight to continue, but Dusty wasn't having it.
Dusty with the microphone in his hand, shaking his head as he walked down the ramp and stop in the middle of the ramp.
"Boys, boys, boys…" Dusty said, his voice carrying a mix of authority and amusement. "I gotta admit, I love the passion, I love the fight… but this ain't how we do business in FCW."
The crowd cheered as Dusty paced back and forth.
"So here's what we're gonna do," he continued. "Y'all wanna fight so bad? Well, you're gonna get your chance… but you're gonna do it in the damn ring, when it counts! No sneak attacks, no jumping people after their matches. Next week, it's official! Before the semifinals officially start, it would be a tag team match between Nick Nemeth and Drew Mclntyre against Kofi Kingston and Bobby Roode!"
The fans erupted at the announcement, shocked but happy by it. Meanwhile, the security continued holding all four men back as Drew and Nick was livid, while Kofi and Roode was happy with it, and Dusty smirked seeing this as he continued.
"This is FCW, baby! You want that North American Championship? You're gonna have to FIGHT for it according to the rules!"
With that, Dusty dropped the mic and walked to the back, leaving the four competitors staring each other down as the crowd roared. The FCW North American Championship Tournament just got even more personal for all men.
The fans continued their chants of "THIS IS AWESOME!" as security worked to de escalate the situation, pulling each man apart and escorting them away from ringside one by one.
Kofi, still fired up from the fight, pointed at Nick and Drew as if to say, this isn't over, while Roode smirked at his future opponents. Meanwhile, Drew and Nick, despite being held back, smirked arrogantly, clearly believing they had the upper hand.
The show faded out on this chaotic but electrifying note, leaving fans at home buzzing with excitement about what had just transpired, while the fans watching live going crazy.
The fallout from the night's events hit Twitter and the FCW Official Forum like a tidal wave. Fans immediately took to the internet to share their thoughts, excitement, and frustrations.
One of the hottest topics of discussion was Rebecca's victory over Nicole, finally dethroning her to become the new FCW Divas Champion. Many fans celebrated, saying Rebecca had worked incredibly hard for this moment, proving herself as one of the best female competitors in FCW.
Others, however, were not as thrilled, arguing that Nicole deserved a longer reign or that April should have been the one to reclaim the championship and dethroning Nicole . Debate raged on, but there was no denying that Rebecca's win had shaken up the division in a major way.
The FCW Florida Heavyweight Championship match between Sandro Zhang and Stu Sanders was another major talking point. Sandro once again successfully defended his title in his weekly defense, continuing to prove why he was the top guy in FCW.
However, what truly had fans buzzing was the name debut of his new finishing move that he introduced last week, the Downfall DDT, a devastating diving DDT.
Fans were in awe, with many commenting that the move looked brutal, and some even admitting they winced when Sandro hit it on Stu. Some joked that Stu would be feeling that move for days, while others speculated about who, if anyone, would be able to dethrone Sandro at this rate with many had tried and failed.
But perhaps the biggest topic of the night was the main event, Kofi Kingston vs. Xavier Creed in the final match of the first round for the FCW North American Championship Tournament.
Fans raved about how incredible the match was, with many calling it a match of the night contender due to the great in ring chemistry both man shared. Kofi's victory was widely celebrated, and the idea of him potentially winning the entire tournament excited many. However, what happened after the match was just as much a talking point as the match itself.
Nick Nemeth and Drew McIntyre's post-match ambush on Kofi sent shockwaves through the FCW fandom. Many fans were furious at the duo for ruining Kofi's big moment, labeling them as "cowards" for attacking Kofi two on one.
However, there were also fans who defended them, saying that they were simply making a statement and proving that the tournament wasn't just about athleticism, it was about doing whatever it takes to win and become the inaugural FCW North American Champion.
Bobby Roode's intervention further fueled the conversation, with fans applauding him for evening the odds and stepping up against Nick and Drew. The wild four man brawl that followed was something fans couldn't stop talking about.
Photos of the brawl spread across Twitter and FCW official forum, with people commenting on how intense it was. Some noted that it felt like something straight out of WWE's main roster, proving that FCW as a developmental brand for WWE was quickly becoming a must watch programming.
As expected, fan support was divided. Kofi and Roode, being fan favorites, had more support, with many fans rallying behind them and expressing their desire to see them take down Nick and Drew. Meanwhile, Nick and Drew, fully embracing their villainous roles, had their fair share of supporters who admired their confidence and aggressive tactics.
With Dusty Rhodes officially announcing that Kofi and Roode would team up to face Nick and Drew in a tag team match next week, the stakes had only grown higher.
Fans speculated on what would happen, would Kofi and Roode be able to function as a team, or would Nick and Drew's alliance prove too strong? Would this match set the tone for the semifinals, giving one duo a major momentum boost heading into the next round?
Regardless of where fans stood on the debate, one thing was certain, FCW had just delivered another unforgettable show, and the road to crowning the first ever FCW North American Champion was only getting more intense.
As the night came to a close, fans eagerly looked ahead to next week's episode, knowing that the battle lines had been drawn.
The next day, Sandro found himself inside the FCW headquarters, specifically in the broadcasting department. The room had the usual corporate atmosphere, dimly lit with multiple screens playing FCW programming, production notes scattered on desks, and employees going about their business.
Sandro sat at a long table across from Dusty Rhodes and Steve Keirn, both of whom were listening intently to Liam, the head of FCW's broadcasting team. Liam, a middle aged man with neatly combed hair and wearing a long sleeved shirt, was clearly unimpressed with the meeting's subject matter.
"…I just don't see the need for this," Liam said, shaking his head as he leaned forward, his hands clasped together on the table. "FCW is already doing well with television broadcasts. Our partnerships with networks are strong, and we're getting exposure on WWE programming as well. YouTube? That's child's play compared to real television. A waste of time, honestly."
Sandro, sitting back in his chair with his arms crossed, could feel the condescension dripping from Liam's words. He had encountered plenty of people like this before, traditionalists who refused to embrace change, who clung to the past and dismissed new ideas as fads.
Dusty, trying to simmer the tension down, let out a chuckle and shook his head. "Now, now, Liam, I get where ya comin' from, baby. Ain't nothin' wrong with stickin' to what works, but this business is always changin'. We gotta keep up with the times, and YouTube is a big deal. We ain't talkin' 'bout some backyard wrestling clips, we're talkin' about expanding our audience, giving fans somethin' extra, keepin' 'em engaged."
Steve, sitting next to Dusty, nodded in agreement. "Dusty's right. The world's moving fast, and we can't afford to fall behind. We're not trying to replace TV. We're enhancing what we already have. And let's be real, WWE's already doing it with their YouTube channel, and it's a massive success. FCW needs to start expanding its online presence to bigger area."
Liam exhaled sharply, clearly not thrilled about the idea, but he knew that arguing with Dusty and Steve was a losing battle. His gaze briefly shifted toward Sandro, and for a moment, there was something else in his eyes, resentment, perhaps even disdain.
Sandro didn't react. He had felt that look from the moment the meeting started. He knew why. It wasn't just that Liam thought YouTube was beneath him, it was that Sandro, who was a wrestler, was the one who had pushed for it meddling in the business.
And Liam knew that Sandro's father, Jack Zhang, the CEO of Nexum Core and the second largest shareholder of WWE, had backed his son's proposal. So at the end of the day, Liam didn't really have a choice.
Sandro leaned forward, speaking for the first time in the meeting. "Liam, you're right about one thing, TV is important. No one's denying that. But ignoring digital platforms is like ignoring an entire generation of fans. If FCW wants to grow, it needs to be where the fans are. That means YouTube, social media, streaming platforms. This isn't a debate about whether we need it. We're doing it."
Liam pursed his lips, nodding begrudgingly. "Fine. If that's what Dusty and Steve want, I'll make it happen."
Dusty clapped Liam on the shoulder, grinning. "That's the spirit, baby! Now, let's make sure we do this right."
Just as the meeting was wrapping up, Sandro's iPhone buzzed in his pocket. Pulling it out, he saw his father's name on the screen. He stood up, excusing himself from the table, and stepped out into the hallway to take the call.
"Hey, Dad," Sandro answered.
Jack Zhang's voice was calm and composed on the other end. "Sandro, I have good news. The people you asked me to find? It's done. They should have arrived at FCW headquarters by now."
Sandro raised an eyebrow. "That fast?"
"You asked me to find people who were talented at this area, didn't you? So I found people that were underutilized at YouTube," Jack replied. "As one of the platform's biggest shareholders, I have more than enough leverage to make things happen. These people weren't doing much, just coasting by. At least here, they can actually work and develop their skills while being paid for something meaningful."
