"You asked me to find people who were talented at this area, didn't you? So I found people that were underutilized at YouTube," Jack replied. "As one of the platform's biggest shareholders, I have more than enough leverage to make things happen. These people weren't doing much, just coasting by. At least here, they can actually work and develop their skills while being paid for something meaningful."
Sandro smirked. His father was as efficient as ever. "Alright. I'll meet them and see what they bring to the table, but I'm sure their qualification was more than qualified if it's your choosing, dad."
"Haha, of course! Okay, they should be waiting for you in the lobby," Jack said. "Don't waste time."
"I never do," Sandro replied before hanging up.
Taking a deep breath, Sandro made his way toward the FCW headquarters lobby. As he stepped inside, he immediately spotted a small group of people standing together, looking slightly uncertain.
They weren't dressed like the usual FCW personnel, most wore casual clothing, jeans, hoodies, sneakers. A few of them held cameras, while others had laptops tucked under their arms.
As Sandro approached, one of them, a young woman with short brown hair and thick-rimmed glasses, straightened up. "You must be Sandro Zhang, right?" she said.
"That's me," Sandro said, scanning the group. "You're the team my father brought in?"
A man wearing a baseball cap and a worn out leather jacket stepped forward, extending his hand. "Name's Eric. We're YouTube's employees, well former employees now, yeah, but we've done video editing, content creation, analytics. We know how to make engaging content, at least in YouTube we were told like that with our results."
Sandro shook his hand. "Good. That's exactly what I need. FCW's YouTube channel is going to be a game changer for FCW, and you're going to be the ones running it. Highlights, backstage interviews, exclusive promos, everything that doesn't make it to live TV, I want it online."
Another member of the group, a tall guy with a beanie, spoke up. "What about creative freedom? Are we just following orders, or can we bring our own ideas?"
Sandro grinned. "You all know how to make a content, right? Then create. As long as it promotes FCW and gets fans engaged, I want you to bring your best ideas to the table. Think outside the box."
The group exchanged glances, and Sandro could see the gears turning in their heads.
Eric nodded. "Alright. We're in."
Sandro clapped his hands together. "Good. Follow me, I'll introduce you to Steve, the promoter of FCW, Dusty, the Head of Creative team which you would work very closely with, and Liam, the head of the broadcasting department."
Sandro led the newly formed FCW YouTube team through the hallways of the FCW headquarters, their footsteps echoing in the corridors. The team members whispered among themselves, exchanging glances as they followed Sandro toward the broadcasting department office.
Some were still wrapping their heads around their abrupt transition from working under YouTube's umbrella to now being an integral part of FCW's growing online presence.
Sandro, on the other hand, was focused. Wrestling fans were no longer just watching on TV as technology developed more, and they were consuming content in a hundred different ways, where YouTube now was one of the easiest platform to acres globally.
If FCW was going to thrive, it needed to adapt. And this team, whether they realized it yet or not, was about to play a pivotal role in that evolution for FCW.
As they reached the broadcasting office, Sandro could already hear the low murmur of voices from inside. He recognized Dusty's deep, authoritative tone, as well as Steve's unmistakable voice. Liam's tone, however, was sharper, edged with frustration.
Sandro pushed open the door, stepping inside with his team behind him.
Inside, Dusty Rhodes and Steve Keirn were standing in front of Liam, the head of FCW's broadcasting department. Liam sat behind his desk, arms crossed, a tight expression on his face. His gaze flicked up as Sandro entered, and for a split second, his irritation was barely concealed.
Dusty turned to see Sandro and gave him a nod, his usual easygoing demeanor intact. "There you are, kid," he said with a grin. "Just in time, I see you already bring our guests up."
Steve also smiled, but Sandro could tell there was simmering tension in the room. Whatever conversation had taken place before his arrival had clearly been serious.
Liam, however, simply leaned back in his chair, his expression unreadable. "So, this is the team?" he asked, his voice neutral, but Sandro could detect the underlying displeasure.
"That's right," Sandro replied, motioning toward the group behind him. "These are the people who are going to run FCW's YouTube channel. They'll be handling highlights, exclusive backstage content, promos, anything that can engage fans online really and attract more attention."
Dusty stepped forward, clapping his hands together. "And we're damn excited about it!" He turned toward the YouTube team with a warm smile. "Welcome to FCW, folks. Y'all are part of the family now."
Steve nodded in agreement. "This is a big deal. We want FCW to be ahead of the curve when it comes to digital content. We was convinced that YouTube is one of the best ways to connect with fans beyond what we do on television, as it reach was a global level. You guys are gonna help us make sure FCW stays on the global map."
Liam's greeting was more begrudging. He nodded but didn't smile. "Welcome," he said, his tone flat. "Hope you all know what you're doing."
Sandro didn't miss the way Liam's fingers tapped against his desk, his irritation barely masked, and he doesn't care that Liam wasn't happy about this, as he have shown it to him before.
He knew that Liam treated the broadcasting department as his domain, and now, with this new team in place, it was as if an outside force had been introduced that he couldn't control.
Eric, the de facto leader of the YouTube team, stepped forward. "We appreciate the opportunity," he said. "We're here to work, and we'll make sure FCW's online presence in YouTube is top tier."
"That's what we like to hear," Dusty said, clearly pleased. "Now, we don't wanna waste any time. Let's get to work."
The team wasted no time setting up their workspace within the broadcasting department. They began by creating the official FCW YouTube channel, designing the channel banner, profile picture, and organizing content playlists. Meanwhile, another group started sifting through archived footage, pulling highlights from recent matches and promos.
To make an immediate impact, they decided to film an impromptu introduction video featuring Dusty and Steve welcoming fans to the channel.
A makeshift recording area was quickly set up in the broadcasting office, and a camera was placed in front of Dusty and Steve. The team worked fast, adjusting lighting and angles before signaling that they were ready.
Dusty, showing the charismatic speaker he was, grinned at the camera. "Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to the official FCW YouTube channel, where the future of wrestling comes alive!"
Steve jumped in. "That's right! From match highlights to exclusive backstage interviews, this is where you'll get all the behind the scenes action from FCW!"
Dusty nodded. "So hit that subscribe button and stay tuned, 'cause things are about to get real good, real fast!"
Once the video was filmed, the team immediately got to work editing it. Within an hour, the introduction video was polished, complete with FCW branded graphics, and was uploaded to the newly launched channel.
Simultaneously, another group worked on cutting and editing highlights from the most recent FCW matches. They pulled key moments, Kofi Kingston's hard-fought win over Xavier Creed, the chaotic post match brawl between Kofi, Roode, Drew, and Nick, and Sandro Zhang's dominant title defense against Stu Sanders.
"This is what I'm talking about," Dusty said, crossing his arms with a proud grin. "This is the future."
Steve nodded in agreement. "And we just got started."
Sandro glanced toward Liam, who was watching in silence. His face was unreadable, but Sandro could sense his frustration. The broadcast veteran wasn't thrilled about this new development, but he couldn't deny the results.
The room buzzed with energy as the YouTube team continued working, editing footage, scheduling uploads, and brainstorming future content ideas. Despite the rocky start, Sandro could see the potential in this new venture.
"Alright," Sandro said, turning toward Dusty and Steve. "I think we're in good hands here. Let's leave them to their work."
Dusty clapped Sandro on the back. "Good call. Let's see what they can do."
They exited the broadcasting department, and as they walked down the hall, Sandro's mind drifted back to Liam. Something told him that Liam wasn't going to take this lying down.
Days passed, and the FCW YouTube team worked tirelessly to finalize their first batch of content. They meticulously edited highlight reels, refined the sound quality and video quality on Dusty and Steve's video, and ensured the promotional videos were polished. Every detail mattered.
The moment of truth came when they finally uploaded the videos. Eric and the team coordinated with FCW's social media team to make a grand announcement on Twitter and the official FCW forum. The tweet read,
"The wait is over! The OFFICIAL FCW YouTube Channel is LIVE! Subscribe now for exclusive match highlights, behind the scenes access, and more! Tune in to FCW YouTube Channel!"
The forum post elaborated, encouraging fans to check out the channel and interact with the content.
Initially, the numbers were modest, hundreds of views trickling in, then thousands. But then something unexpected happened. A small but passionate faction of overseas fans latched onto the content.
Comments in multiple languages flooded in: Spanish, Japanese, French, German. Fans who had limited access to FCW outside of grainy third party uploads with low quality video or buying expensive rape recording of the show were ecstatic.
"Finally! FCW content with high quality videos!"
"Love seeing these highlights, hope they upload more!"
"I didn't know FCW had so much talent. This is incredible!"
The overseas engagement had an unintended but welcome effect, fans were now actively sharing FCW videos, increasing the brand's reach and credibility.
Dusty and Steve were thrilled. They weren't expecting instant viral success, but this? This was something real. Something they could build on.
Steve leaned back in his office chair, arms crossed, watching the numbers rise on his laptop. "It ain't a takes of thousands or hundreds of thousands views overnight, but this is gonna explode sooner or later," he said with confidence.
Dusty, sitting across from him, nodded. "It's like planting seeds, brother. We just gotta keep watering it."
Both men grinned, already envisioning what the future of FCW's online presence could be.
At that moment, their office door opened, and Nicole and Brianna Bella, the Bella Twins, stepped inside, their expressions a mix of curiosity and nerves.
Nicole instinctively linked her fingers together while Brianna glanced between the two men. "You wanted to see us?" Nicole asked hesitantly.
Dusty smiled warmly. "Relax, ladies. We called you here for good news."
Nicole and Brianna exchanged surprised glances. Good news?
Steve leaned forward. "I got a surprise call from Stephanie McMahon last week."
That alone made both women stiffen. Stephanie McMahon? The Stephanie McMahon?
Steve continued. "WWE is looking for fresh female talent for the main roster, and Stephanie specifically asked for you two."
Silence.
It took a few seconds for the words to register in Nicole and Brianna's minds. Then, like an explosion going off, both of them let out ecstatic cries.
Their hands flew to their mouths as they quickly composed themselves, realizing they were in the presence of their bosses. Their eyes were wide, shining with disbelief and excitement.
"Wait, wait—" Nicole stammered. "You're saying we're getting called up to the main roster?"
Dusty chuckled at their enthusiasm. "That's right, darlin'. Stephanie wants you both in WWE ASAP. Next week, you're heading to WWE's headquarters in Tampa to officially sign your contracts and start preparing for your main roster debut on RAW or SmackDown."
