Chapter One
He never expected that the person who reported him would be Aurelia.
Last night, he waited for her the entire night.
Her not coming back seemed to imply something.
But he was still willing to believe that she wouldn't betray him.
At least, not at this moment!
At least, she would confront him first.
Aurelia couldn't meet his gaze. She averted her eyes, lowered her head, holding back the tears welling up in her eyes.
She had thought about helping him.
She wrestled with the decision the entire night.
But she realized that if she helped him, it would lead him further down a path of no return.
He would spiral out of control…
She would rather he hate her at this moment.
No matter how long it takes, she will wait for him to come out!
So, she handed the evidence to the police.
The atmosphere in the meeting room grew heavy; everyone exchanged uneasy glances, unsure of what was happening.
