Chapter Two
She had no choice but to follow him in, randomly picking a room.
The vast room, with no servants around, felt especially empty, as if even her words would echo.
Ryan Gregory headed straight to the study on the second floor as soon as he entered, seemingly to handle some matters.
Sofia Hamilton had to fend for herself, deciding to take a shower first before finding something to eat.
Once inside the bathroom, standing under the showerhead, she realized… she didn't have any clothes!
To make matters worse, her current clothes were already wet.
Feeling both anxious and awkward, she didn't know what to do for a moment.
She looked around for a towel, only to find none.
The only thing hanging there was a men's shirt.
His?
She didn't care; she figured she'd just wear the shirt for now and deal with it later.
Closing her eyes, she turned the water on full blast, letting it pour down on her. The water hit her body with a slight sting but left her feeling refreshed.
