Owen Moreland fell silent for a moment, withdrew his right hand, and took a matcha-colored small box from his suit pants pocket, which was tied with a champagne-colored bow.
It was clearly a small gift meant for a woman.
Amelia Clarke was stunned for a moment; she had only mentioned it in passing and hadn't expected there to actually be a gift.
"What?" she asked as she took it.
Owen Moreland remained silent.
Amelia opened it, and was somewhat startled by what she saw inside.
The streetlights outside the car were dim, and with the faint light, she could see that it was a custom-made platinum necklace, with a very fine chain, and the pendant… was five Chinese characters.
"我是景太太" ("I am Mrs. Moreland").
Amelia incredulously turned her head to look at Owen Moreland.
"Did you customize this?"
Owen Moreland glanced at her slightly surprised face, "Don't you like it?"
Amelia smiled, "I like it."
