Lily's eyes were bright, yet they carried a hint of worry.
Amanda smiled at her words, "Okay."
With Amanda's promise, Lily immediately felt at ease. She ran back to her seat, sat down, and swung her little feet as she asked, "Does Lily need to bring anything back? Like a present for Daddy?"
A present for meeting someone?
Amanda laughed, "Whatever you want to bring back, just take it with you, as long as it fits in Lily's little suitcase."
Lily nodded sensibly, finished eating, and went to her little room to pack.
Amanda tidied up the room and went out to buy a plane ticket to Priocia for the next day at the nearby airport.
As she sat on the bus with the ticket in hand, Amanda stared at the sea outside, her face showing a hint of bewilderment.
With this departure, she didn't know when she would be able to return, or if she would return at all. The path ahead seemed clear, yet she felt lost with each step she took, unable to find solid footing.
